I agree about having the ipod. I was trying to sell Jess on the idea a few days ago. She's not buying it. I already have a bunch of CDs burned to my PC as .wma files. I enjoy being able to hit "shuffle" in my entire media library and getting the mixed bag. At parties it would be good for playing by genre...etc. or in the car.
La trip, yes, pretty much dead in the water.
I learned Friday that I have a phone interview for a job tomorrow. It's in Massachussets. I might need to learn how to spell that state's name if I get the job. Executive Assistant to the President for www.manomet.org. I'm focking amped for this puppy. Get this -- I actually used a P.S. in the cover letter!!! I did all the crappy game playing crap... overnighted my resume, used "good paper", and researched enough to learn the name of the person reading the letters (I hoped) and used her name instead of "Attn: Exec. Asst" or "dear sir or madam" in the TO: line. It was a worthwhile gamble. I'm reading the "don't send" interviewing tips now and preparing my cheat sheet for the interview. The thing is, I'm not nervous that I'll fuck up. I'm just amped. I don't know if it will pay enough to justify us moving to Boston, but hey, cost of living is lower out there relative to CHI.
Speaking of getting amped for interviews, have you ever taken or heard of taking beta blockers? The topic came up recently with my bro.
