He owned his own farm in Knox Co. According to the Hall Family Book, he was a pensioner of the Indian war. (Check pension records.) It appears, from the 1830 Knox Co. Census, that Zachariah had seven children by his first wife. The 1840 census only shows 6 children, but Louisiana was already married.

Children:
3 Sarah W. HALL b. 03 FEB 1819 d. 10 SEP 1884 m. 04 FEB 1841 James Ike DAIL, Col. b. 23 OCT 1818 d. 18 JAN 1905 Sarah was identified as Zachariah's daughter in the HALL FAMILY HISTORY, by Caroline S. Hall, 1906 (929.2). I also found several references to James Dail (Sarah's husband) in the settlement of the estate of A.C. Hall of Knoxville, who was Zachariah's brother. Several sources of DAIL information list the birth place of Sarah as Roane Co., but I found no evidence of this. As far as I know, Zachariah always lived in the Hall's area of Knoxville.

3 Louisiana HALL b. about 1820 d. before 1858 m. 04 Dec 1838 William Anton FRAKER, Sr. b. 08 Jun 1817 d. __ Nov 1886 Marriage record calls her Susannah (in book). Check out the original. I didn't find a burial record for Louisiana (nor for the name 'Susannah') Fraker; but I did find a record for Wm. Fraker's 2nd wife. They were married 25 Nov 1858. So, I assume that Louisiana died before Nov 1858. Wm & his 2nd wife were both buried in Rockydale Cem., Knox Co., TN (without markers), so perhaps Louisiana is also buried there. Requires more research.

3 Pulaski HALL b. 19 Jun 1821 d. 01 Jan 1899 m. 08 Sep 1859 Joyce Lawson HALL b. 18 Feb 1817 d. 16 May 1906 Joyce: Susposedly, Joyce was named by her grandfather, Thomas Hall. She was his first granddaughter, so he 'rejoiced' at her birth.

3 Thomas D. HALL b. 1825 - 1830 m. 23 Oct 1849 Mary J. BUCKLEY

3 Emeline S. HALL b. about 1848 d. __ Jun 1863 Hall book says that Emeline died young. It also has her listed as the dau. of Zachariah's first wife, Mary Nelson Hall. This could only be true if he had two daughters named Emeline. Emeline S. was listed as 'age 2' on the 1850 census. Zachariah & M.M. Bradley were married in 1847. More research is needed.

3 John M. B. HALL b. ABOUT 1849 Hall book says that John died. I assume that means young and/or unmarried.
