Part 6

Stephanie made her way through the crowd, “A.J.!” she screamed over the thumping music, “Justin, A.J., stop it!” She yelled as she got between the two guys, “We’re in public for crying out loud, get a grip!”

“He started it,” A.J. said glaring at Justin.

Justin crossed his arms, “I did no such thing. I just danced with the lady.”

Stephanie pushed them both away from each other, “People are watching,”

“Come on A.J.” Kevin said taking his arm and pulling him away from the fight, “let’s go back to the table.”

Stephanie sighed as A.J. turned and walked away. Justin smiled as if he had won, “It’s sad how some guys can’t just stand up for themselves.”

Stephanie smiled, “Do you know what’s even worse than that?”

“What is that?” Justin asked smirking.

Stephanie punched him square in the face, knocking him onto his butt, “That some girls like jerks like you.”

“You know better than that A.J,” Jessie chided

“He started it,” he grumbled.

“Jessie’s right, you do know better than that,” Kevin agreed.

Stephanie walked back to the table shaking her hand,” I can’t believe this.”

“Are you sure you don’t want to go over to their table?” A.J. asked glaring at her, “He’d probably let you sit in his lap.”

Stephanie slapped him, “You are a jerk.”

“Well, baby, that just seems like the type you go for these days.”

Jessie pulled Stephanie away from the table before she was able to kill A.J., “Come on, everyone needs to calm down a little.”

“Let me kill him first,” Stephanie growled.

“Come on, go to the bathroom with me. I have to ask you something.”

“Okay, whatever.” As they entered the huge bathroom, Jessie began looking under the stalls, “What are you doing?” Stephanie asked laughing.

“Do you know what’s going on with Nick?”

Stephanie stopped, “Um, no. Why? What’s going on?”

“He has been acting strange, and I think it has something to do with you.”

“I don’t think…”

Jessie interrupted, “He said something about remembering.”

Stephanie didn’t know what else to do. She stepped forward and touched Jessie. Stephanie caught her as she collapsed. The figured appeared in the corner, “What did you do?”

“I just blocked part of her memory, she was asking questions.”

“You don’t have much time.”

“Would you please stop saying that! I know.”

The figure disappeared as Jessie started to wake up, “What happened?”

“Are you okay? You just passed out.”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” Jessie said standing up.
