About Little Men
Little
Men is a family drama based on the book by Louisa May
Alcott. There were two seasons of this
show filmed up in Canada. It has been
shown on PAX TV here in the United States.
Twenty-six episodes in all were filmed.

Jo
Bhaer (Jo March from Little Women) is in charge of “The Plumfield School for
Boys”. Her husband, Fritz, has recently
passed away, and the young widow is left to manage the household and school
without him. Jo and her son Rob are
joined by Asia (the cook), Franz (her nephew and the schoolteacher), and the
rest of the boys including Dan, Nat, Emil, Tommy, Jack, etc.
In
the first episode, Jo hires new caretaker, Nick Riley. She also decides to include girls in “The
Plumfield School for Boys”. The first
girl admitted is Anthea (Nan) Harding.
Later on Jo’s niece, Bess Laurence, joins the group of young students.
Additional
characters include Jo’s sisters Meg and Amy, Amy’s husband Laurie, newspaper
editor Harrison Bridger (second season), and many other occasional characters.
Within
the two seasons you see many possible romances bloom. Jo and Nick, Meg and Edward, Dan and Bess, Nat and Nan, and Franz
and Isabel plus the already married Amy and Laurie.
Little
Men is full of adventure, drama, excitement, romance,
fun, and entertainment. Best of all, it’s
FAMILY entertainment!!!
