Little Men Episode Guide
Season One
1-1 "Changes"
Jo deals with the loss of her husband, Fritz Bhaer, and tries to keep the Plumfield School for Boys running. Nick Riley comes to Plumfield to work as caretaker. Nan is the first girl admitted to the school.
1-2 "Quarantine"
Plumfield is put under quarantine for measles after one of the boys contracts the disease.
1-3 "Thanksgiving"
Jo sister, Amy, and her husband, Laurie, come back to Concord and bring a new student to Plumfield: their daughter Bess.
1-4 "Tough Choices"
An old friend of Dan’s from Boston comes to try to get Dan and Nat to go out west with him.
1-5 "Emancipation"
A black family is found on Plumfield property, and Jo asks them to stay awhile. Jo learns there is more than meaning of the word ‘prejudice’.
1-6 "Christmas"
It’s Christmas at Plumfield and Jo misses Fritz. A young woman is badly beaten and taken in at Plumfield.
1-7 "Philanthropy"
Nick tries to save Jo’s horse, Penny. Franz tries to teach the children the meaning of ‘Philanthropy’.
1-8 "Bluffing"
Nan steals one of Nat’s stories then asks Nat for help in a writing contest for the local newspaper.
1-9 "Coming Attractions"
Meg begins being courted by Edward Trenton, but Jo disapproves. The children do a science project; Nan and Nat try to get Dan and Bess to kiss.
1-10 "Blame"
As a blizzard approaches, Jo gets injured and lost in the woods; Nick has to go find her.
1-11 "The Living Years"
Nick helps out in the town store, and the owner’s niece falls for him.
1-12 "Father Figure"
Nick teaches Nat how to fight. Nat picks a fight with a bully in town, gets injured, and goes into a coma. Everybody looks forward to the Winter Festival and the father/son ski race.
1-13 "Looking Forward"
Dan meets an Indian that helps him find his past and look ahead to his future.
Season Two
2-1 "Civil Disobedience"
Jo comes close to losing Plumfield, but the children step in to help save the school.
2-2 "Stepping Out"
Amy organizes the town dance; Bess falls for an older boy who tries to take advantage of her. Jo goes to the dance with Mr. Bridger instead of Nick. Dan and Bess get together.
2-3 "Dangerous Lessons"
Nick and Dan go out to find a missing lion; Nat takes professional violin lessons.
2-4 "Opposites Attract"
Franz meets Isabel; Amy and Laurie have marital problems.
2-5 "Family Business"
Asia gets the chance to work at a family restaurant, but she decides to stay at Plumfield. Meg wants to move to Plumfield.
<2-6 "Leap of Faith"
Jo gets robbed on her way into town, and then is afraid that it could happen again. Jo and Nick take a little adventure in the woods to try to help her. Beth tells her not to be afraid. Franz goes to be with Isabel.
2-7 "Brothers and Sisters"
Nick’s brother comes to get money from Nick. Bess wants to be a singer, but doesn’t have the talent.
2-8 "Lantern Man"
It’s Halloween and Laurie fills the children’s heads stories of "The Lantern Man". A strange man comes to Concord to get Jo to write a book about his life.
2-9 "The Weaker Sex"
Jo tries to help with women’s rights. Nan helps out Dr. Pierce, but finds out Dr. Pierce doesn’t believe in women doctors.
2-10 "For Love of Money"
Nat and Nan find a saddlebag full of money and think that it’s stolen money. Emil helps himself to the money. Jo thinks that Nick is spying on her, but finds out he wasn’t. Jo and Nick get together.
2-11 "Three Angry Women"
Jo, Meg, and Amy go on a trip together, but things don't turn out like they wanted.
2-12 "The Sign"
The children get into the grape juice business. Jo fall from the hayloft and gets temporary paralisis before her birthday.
2-13 "Home For Christmas"
Nick is accused of murder.
