Slipknot can only be described as unyeilding. Their self-titled album has behind it a tidal wave of raging anger, which always makes for good music. The two things that make Slipknot stand out the most, are their uniquely energized percussion, and the powerful vocals of #8 (Corey). I happened to catch most of Slipknot's show at Ozzfest '99 and was absolutely blown away. The 9 piece set was all dressed in orange prison suits, each numbered, and each had his own bizarre mask or headgear. Besides the main drumset, there was a pair of smaller drumsets on each side of the stage, mounted on these wierd hydraulic stands which made them bounce all over the place as the drummers ran back and forth switching places, beating until it seemed their arms would fall out. I can safely say Slipknot puts on the most interesting show of any band I've experienced, and has the music to back it up.
