Christmas is approaching
Its spirit fills the air
Jingle bells the children sing
There's laughter everywhere
Holly leaves and mistletoe
Show the festive season's here
The sound of Santa's sleigh bells
Show that he is very near
Christmas trees and fairylights
The smell of turkey cooking
Chocolates hanging from the tree
Children eat when we're not looking
It is a really magic time
Even better if it snows
Reindeers hooves and Santa's sleigh
On rooftops clearly shows
Sleep peacefully now children
As Santa's on his way
All around the world he travels
Upon his magic sleigh
In the morning when you wake
You'll find there's toys galore
All your dreams have now come true
You could not ask for more.
A Merry Christmas to everyone
I think that the child comes out in everyone at
Christmas. Childhood memories come back.
I know that I saw Santa Clause with his sack
upon his back.

He's entered our lives now this cute ball of fur
So content listen quietly and you'll hear him purr
His fur is so shiny and black as can be
And this is the reason we named him Ebony.
His eyes are like pools as blue as the sea
He's touched all our hearts he's as cute as can be
He cries when he's hungry and gets quickly fed
Gets cuddled to sleep and laid gently in bed
He has a toy mouse which he chases everywhere
He lies on his back with his paws in the air
He climbs up your trousers to get onto your knee
The marks of his claws on your legs you will see
Ebony came into our lives only one week ago
He's cute and he's sweet and we all love him so
From the moment we saw him until Eternity
We will care and protect him this was meant to be.

She has blonde hair and eyes of blue
My love for her is strong and true
I will love her all my days
In time she'll leave, I hope she stays
My Baby girl's now ten years old
Always my Baby she is told
She's always there close by my side
I look upon her with great pride
She has a cheery smiling face
Full of love and full of grace
Her happiness warms up the house
She eats as much as a little mouse
She loves to buy new shoes galore
Never enough always wants more
Drags you in Shoe Shops can't pass by
Don't let her go in and she will cry
I love her so much my heart is so full
Living with Baby, life's never dull
She's so full of life she tires you out
Sometimes, not often, I have to shout.
By Carol Matthews
She walks along in all innocence,
She feels relaxed she is not tense
Just window shopping in her lunch break
A rest from work she has to take
She feels someone watching out the corner of her eye
She doesn't dare look around she is really shy
She notes in him there doesn't look much harm
He's dressed in suit and tie she feels quite calm.
Then all of a sudden he's in front of her
A bit of a shock but she doesn't care
He looks her up and down from head to toe
He compliments her and embarrases her so
She's shocked and wishes she was not alone
Get back to work to the safety zone
Then all of a sudden he's at her side
He's followed her she's no place to hide
He proceeds to ask her personal things
She wishes at this time she had wings
To fly her to safety away from this pervert
To get her back to her place of work
He's stripped her now of her confidence
She won't go out to lunch she feels too tense
She won't go out again without a chaperone
She feels out there is a danger zone.

It was early on a Saturday morning
The busiest day of the week
Shoppers and workers hurry around
Lots of bargains they do seek
It was the day before Father's Day
Children shopping happily for a gift
The pleasure on their beaming faces shows
Giving everyone's spirits a lift
All of a sudden their faces change
Expressions of fear, panic and dread
People are running in all directions
The panic and fear has quickly spread
Then all of a sudden there's an almighty bang
It feels like the end of the world has come
All around the glass is falling like rain
Children's tearful faces cry out for their Mum
These people come from an inhuman race
They wiped the smile from an innocent child's face
They hurt their Fathers and their Mothers
Deeply scarred the bodies of their sisters and brothers
A year has gone by now since the Manchester Bomb
We've rebuilt our City and our lives go on
Father's day is quickly approaching again
Please God on the children's faces let their smiles remain.

Deep within the forest, you will see the fairy glen
Once you've seen its mysteries you will come back again
Hold your breath now, count to ten the gate is now in sight
Just make a wish to enter now and things will turn out right
The enchanted garden before you now, flowers of every hue
Magic that surrounds it makes all your dreams come true
You may stay here forever as time it does stand still
Leave whenever you wish though we will not bear you ill
The garden bears fruit of love, eat up until you're full
This is a really happy place it never can be dull
Fairies whisper around toadstools, they are hard to hear
The beauty of this wondrous place makes me shed a tear
Children frolic, dance and sing, its such a lovely place
Crying isn't heard of hear, sadness not a trace
Tears of joy, these may be seen, of good time you have had
But when you leave the garden you must not be sad
Come back soon, we are here, whenever you're feeling low
Remember someone thinks of you, feel your heart aglow
The garden ghrives on love from you, needs you to go on
Bring along a friend next time we welcome anyone!

In the quiet time before the earliest of light,
When old folks lay awake, reminiscing in the night.
How to thank a daughter, for all her thoughtful ways,
To let her know the joy she brings, To brighten up our days.
We think of all the good times, And all that she's done right,
And yes, we want to hug her and hold her oh so tight.
Now that she's a mother ,I know that she well knows,
The special way a child takes your heart and makes it glow.
So on this mothers day; we have many words to say,
But words seem not enough on the second week in May.
We ask the Lord to stand by her, For she is far away,
And send our love to our sweet girl, Forever and today.

In all the men I've ever seen,
They all possess a silly gene.
The little boy He plays inside,
He romps and jokes within their hides.
He'll not growup, no matter what,
We think us girls, Boy what a nut.
He'll not let us get in a rut,
And other times be such a but.
Observing them is lots of fun,
We all must laugh when day is done.
Who knows from where the pun, It comes,
We think the Dads give to the sons.
Sometimes I think us girls should be,
A little like the boy in he.
Let's find the gene in you and me,
They have more fun, as you can see.
When we grow oh so very old,
We tend to lose our childish mold.
We should recall those days of old,
Cause life is short when all is told.
Laugh we must when we grow tall,
This little kid will play in all.
Or else for sure we'll take a fall.
So go outside and play some ball.

We all have two of these, you see,
There's good and bad in you and me.
Which one today, am I to be?
From heaven above, let it be thee.
We hope the good will win the day.
With high ideals, will show the way.
But sometimes, things don't go so well,
And outlaws do within us dwell.
I hate to let them start to roll,
I'm actually just an innocent soul.
Why won't they leave me all alone?
You'd think they were my altar clone.
I try so hard to just be still,
Cause lives highways, seem all up hill.
They rant and rave, with all there will.
Till all around, They get their fill.
I'm actually such a sweet young thing,
They'll not get by with being king.
I'll not let them let out a peep,
I'll fix the beasts; I'll go to sleep.
A new day dawns, so fresh and bright,
And thank the Lord, I'm not uptight.
When I awake, the others there,
I thank the Lord, I do declare

My pen seems kind of empty and my parchments generally bear,
Deep thought is usually lacking as I sit down in my chair.
Yes, To clarify the structure of laughter, tears and strife,
Oh, to write about the universe, the meaning of all life.
To rise above all worldly cares, with nose upwardly bound
Oh well I guess I'll just be thrilled in being partly clown.
I've seen high falutin merriment and lots of uppity stuff,
And tried to write of serious things, and not all of this fluff.
The longer that I stroll around, I just can't use a fan,
My nose is usually tilted down, to check out all the land.
Yes, to be or not to be is surly great to read,
But give me laughs occasionally, or my head falls in my mead.

My mother shared the secret, of the stars up in the sky,
She told me of the story, of how the stars can fly.
The stars are in the heavens, way up above our heads,
The object is to get them down and on our heads instead.
A star will fly from heaven, to land upon your head,
To fill your crown with graces that is what my mother said.
Each time you do a good deed, especially when unknown,
A little star comes down to you, wherever you may roam.
So when we raise a little smile upon another's face,
The Lord will make us each and all a very special place.
As we grow, and gather stars, to replace the crown of thorns,
Our Lord will fill our souls with love and we will be reborn.
We all must do our part, no matter our lives work,
Never let the devil in wherever he may lurk.
Even just a smile, can lighten someone's load,
So fill your crown, with little stars and you will make it home.

Music for me is a wondrous thing,
It gets me high, It makes me sing.
Happiness to the soul it brings,
God sends it down on angel's wings.
My husband says, go turn it on.
Or it could be that I'll be gone.
It soothes the savage bitch, you see,
And there are days that could be me.
Sometimes its quiet, Sometimes it's loud.
But music always parts the clouds.
So take some time to play some tunes,
To brighten your day and chase the blues.

We talked and talked as years went by,
Within my heart the Lord and I.
When all was done we made a deal,
And with this vow, we did it seal.
I vowed to follow him straight home,
With nary a cry, no not a moan.
If he would keep you safe and well,
Until you hear old Gabriel's bell.
I got the better deal you see,
He should have charged an extra fee.
My time on earth, it's been mostly fun,
To watch you grow and bloom, Each one.
And as I go he holds my hand,
Yes I can hear old Gabrielle's band.
The music's fine and fills my soul,
And you are safe, my heart is full.
Linda Adsitt
A smile reflexes Gods shinning light,
And joy it brings to all in sight.
The beauty of the soul shows through,
And helps us all be not so blue.
Not one resists a jolly face,
It brings good cheer to the hectic race.
It's like a rose coming to full bloom,
And makes us glad to be in the room.
We like to stare and watch a smile,
Especially when not filled with guile.
The face it blooms the lines they form,
The upward tilt and smiles are born.

There are some that say, It's like watching grass grow,
But to me its like putting my heart on hold.
My hands are sweating, my throats in a lump,
I wonder sometimes, if my heart will still pump.
Can't look at the batter, can't look at the ump,
Oh God, The coach gave the pitcher the bump.
Here comes the new pitcher, with one out to go,
Dear Lord, He threw at, It's out, and it's low
The next is a strike, and another one next
Let the next be one to, Cause I need a rest
And that's how it goes in a baseball game
Just boring as hell, and ever so tame.
Linda LaRae Adsitt
God bestows talents to each and all,
Were to take time to heed the call.
We must pay attention to ourselves within,
If we throw them away it's close to a sin.
Some have talents that are quiet and small,
Others have talents that are large and tall.
Whatever the talents he gives you and me,
Don't squander the gifts that come to thee.
Develop the talent for happiness sake,
Your days will fill shinning, When your are awake.
What others may think, Should not matter to you,
Cause it makes our Lord happy to give to you.
