The flights arrived on schedule. Kevin and Laura told Nick and Brian the news right away. The guys were both utterly shocked, “You’re married?!?” Nick asked in shock
“Yes.” Kevin said smiling at Laura
“Well, then we have a surprise for you.”
“Don’t tell us you’re married.” Laura said grinning
“No, Ms. Smarty Pants.” Nick said rolling his eyes
“Hey, it’s Mrs. Smarty Pants to you.” Laura said crossing her arms
“So what’s the big surprise?” Kevin asked
“Well,” Brian began but stopped as he saw Howie and Brandi coming towards them, “Here they come now.”
Kevin and Laura turned to see Howie and Brandi walking towards them, and then looked back at Brian and Nick, “So, what’s the surprise?” Kevin asked
Laura started to grin, “You mean…?”
Nick and Brian nodded. Laura squealed and ran towards Brandi, “Congratulations girl!”
Kevin looked back at Nick and Brian, clueless. Nick sighed, “They got married.”
Kevin laughed, “Well, what do ya know.”
Nick leaned over to Brian as the two new married couples exchanged congratulations, “I wish Stephanie could have known. She would have been so happy for them both.”
Brian nodded, “I know.”
“You know what the strange thing is?” Nick asked
“What?”
“It’s like in a way, she’s still here somehow.”
Brian smiled, “I know what you mean.”
