“Hey Meg.” Nick said giving her a hug, “How’s it going?”
Megan smiled, “it’s going.”
“Hey beautiful.” A.J. said giving her a hug next.
Brian smiled at her and wrapped his arms around her, “Hey.”
Megan smiled, “Hi.”
“I’ve missed you.”
“Well, the feeling is mutual.”
A.J. turned around and Nick coughed, “Come on guys, let’s not make a scene.”
It was the first time they had all laughed in days and it felt good. “Ya know what?” Nick asked as they walked to the car lot outside. Everyone looked over at him and he smiled, “I checked my e-mail and I had one from Stephanie.”
Everyone continued to look at him, “And?” A.J. asked
“Well,” Nick stuck his hands in his pockets, “she was just talking about the trip to New York and stuff. Ironically, she said that life never turns out how you plan it. She said she never planned to meet us or anything like that. She also said that strange things happen, for no reason that we can see. It just seemed weird to me. She sent it the day before the accident”
They all walked in silence for several seconds, “She was a riot.” Brian commented
“She changed my views on some things.” A.J. commented
“She was a good friend, and she kicked my butt at Mortal Kombat.” Nick said Everyone laughed at his comment, “She was an experience to say the least.”
“I know, that she wouldn’t want us to be sad about the way things turned out. She would just want us to remember the good times.”
