Stephanie stood in front of the mirror and sighed. She was dressed, but wasn’t sure if she was doing the right thing. She liked Alex, but he was A.J. a Backstreet Boy. This whole thing seemed crazy, completely crazy. Megan walked in, “Wow, where are you going?” she asked shutting the door behind her
“I have a date.”
“With whom?” Megan asked crossing her arms.
“Alex.”
Megan sighed, “Does Nick know?”
Stephanie looked at her, “Do I belong to Nick or something? Why is it that whenever I want to do something or go out, people asks me ‘Does Nick know?’”
Megan shrugged, “He likes you.”
“No, he doesn’t!” Stephanie said.
Megan sat down on the bed and turned on the TV, “then you are blind.”
“No, I’m not blind! Nick is my FRIEND and he is only my FRIEND!”

A.J. came out of his room and was heading down the hall to Stephanie and Megan’s room when Kevin walked past him, “Hey man, where are you going?”
“Got a date.”
“With Laura?”
“Yeah, and I’m gonna be late.”
“Okay man, have a good time.”

The phone rang and Megan picked it up, “Hello?”
“Megan, its Laura, is Stephanie there?”
“Yeah, hold on a sec. Miss, it’s Laura.”
“Ask her if it’s important.” Stephanie yelled from the bathroom
“Is it important, she’s kinda busy getting ready.”
“YES! It’s very important.”
“She says it’s very important.”
“Okay,” Stephanie said coming out of the bathroom. She took the phone from Megan, “Hey Chic, what do ya need?”
“Okay, Kevin is going to be here any minute and I have no idea what to wear, skirt, dress, pants, what?!”
“Kevin? As in like a date with Kevin?”
“YES, so, what do I wear?!?”
“Um, the best bet with Kevin would be a simply dress. One that can be casual and fancy at the same time.”
“Okay, I think I know the perfect dress. Hey, what are you getting ready for?”
“A date with A.J.”
“A.J. huh? Have a good time.” Laura said laughing.
“Hey, what are you laughing at? If you and Kev can go out, then Alex and I ca go out.”
“Okay, well, I better go because I’m not dressed and Kevin should be here any minute.”
“Okay, have fun.”
“You too.”
Stephanie hung up the phone and ran back into the bathroom to finish putting her hair up. She heard a knock on the door and moaned, “Meg, would you get that please? It’s A.J., tell him I’ll be a minute.”
Megan sighed and opened the door, it wasn’t A.J., it was Nick, “Hey Meg, do you guys want to do something tonight?”
Before she could answer Stephanie walked out of the bathroom. Nick looked at her for a minute, “You going out?”
“Um, well, yeah I am.”
“With who?”
“With me.” A.J. said walking up from behind him.
Nick turned and looked at him and then at Stephanie, they could both tell that he was mad, but before he could say anything Stephanie cut in, “A.J. could you please wait for me downstairs, Megan would you excuse us please? I need to talk to Nick.”
A.J. nodded and started towards the elevators, Megan excused herself to go see what Howie and Brandi’s plans were for the evening.
Once they were gone Stephanie shut the door and turned around to face Nick, she was going to let him have it.
