Fiberworks Weaving Studio is located in Conway, Arkansas, offering personalized instruction in weaving and a full line of weaving equipment and supplies. Fiberworks caters to the needs of beginning and advanced weavers alike. Fiberworks has a relaxed 'weaving studio' atmosphere. Fiberworks is owned and operated by Sandra Doak. Sandra received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kent State University, graduating in 1990 with honors(Cum Laude). A dedicated and experienced artisan, Sandra has had weavings and paintings displayed publicly in shows and galleries in Ohio, North Carolina and Arkansas. Sandra opened Fiberworks Weaving Studio in Hudson, Ohio, in 1990. From 1990 to 1993 Sandra operated Fiberworks as well as teaching art for various community programs including teaching weaving for the Continuing Education Program at the University of Akron. Sandra was a founder member of the Stow Arts Commission and was instrumental in establishing its summer youth arts program. In 1993 Sandra liquidated Fiberworks to move with her family to Charlotte, North Carolina. While in Charlotte, Sandra gave private weaving lessons and taught fiber classes at Charlotte's "Spirit Square" Art Center. In 1995 Sandra and her family moved to Conway, Arkansas. After offering private lessons for two years, Sandra's dedication to weaving prompted her to open Fiberworks Weaving Studio in 1997 and has been in business ever since. We love meeting new people.
