In memory of The Glorious!

\MapS/ Some maps showing the windings of the Kumbayah Tour '99

Click to enlarge: or Click to go to:

\Day One/ After a rough night at Adelaide Hostels, apparently rendering a member of the party blind (!), Neil picked us up early in his Toyota Landcruiser. We were heading for Flinders Ranges.

\Day Two/ What did really happen that day? Death Rock, Aboriginal Rock Art sites, Wilpena Pound, Nuclear testing and healing of the blind... Something for the X-files perhaps? Bjorn says: "I'm better of with a VB..."

\Day Three/ Talc Alf, a prophet or an artist? Beachvolley and swimsuit competition on Lake Eyre, Australias largest inland lake! A drink at famous William Creek Pub before engaging in the traditional Swedish drinking festivities of Midsummer.

\Day Four/ Coober Pedy (Guide:"what have you done to them Neil?, they are soooo quiet!"), Australias largest opal mining town. Lake Cadibarrawirracanna and the Painted Desert camp. Beachvolley over the Dog Fence.

\Day Five/ Oodnadatta's Pink Roadhouse, Painted Desert and Dalhousie Hot (but not too hot, but still very hot) Springs. Beachvolley in the springs! "Why is the road not straight, Neil?"

\Day Six/ A broken spring in the middle of nowhere! Stranded in the Desert! Yet, beachvolley over NT-SA border and playing with children...

\Day Seven/ Arriving at the most faomous icon of Australia. What is "the lemon next to the Apple Pie"? And what does that have to do with the Rock? All the colours and shades of Uluru.

\Day Eight/ "The mighty domes of Kata Tjuta are more expressful than the Rock". A walk in the Valley of the Winds.

\Day Nine/ To climb or not to climb, that is the question. - Att klattra eller inte klattra, det ar fragan. For all who didn't, here are the pictures from the top of the red thing.

\Day Ten/ The last day was spent in lovely Kings Canyon. Looking back in the mirror... The memory of the Glorious still remain. Rumours claim that a wild party in the Alice was the end of the trip, but evidence says that it continued.

\Us/ After many hard days in the outback, the 11 tired, but happy travellers came to Alice. This is how the looked.

\NEW PICTURES/ Here are some new pictures, look closely, and comment on them!

\NEWER PICTURES/ Neha's fantastic photos caught some action in the desert... I really don't know exactly what the action was about, but some talk about Star Wars-like sword fights and Deamons being driven out of Franks by Godless Vikings...

\EVEN NEWER PICTURES/ Dorothee and Simone had a little bit of a reunion when Simone visited Cologne in Germany. Here are Doro-doro's pictures, but maybe they don't reveal everything that happened?
