My VL Commodore 3lt-Turbo

Meet Mercury

A 1987 Holden VL Commodore - Berlina.
Engine: RB30ET Turbocharged, 6 cylinder, 2962cc
Tires/Wheels: Std 15in wheels, 215/60 Rear, 225/65 Front
Power: 150kW DIN @ 5600rpm
Torque: 296Nm DIN @ 3200rpm

This is what takes me around Sydney. Cleaning it is really time consuming, although I'm fully compensated when I see poeple turn their neck around to have a WOW (others have a 'Naaah') look on their face .

A Bit More Detail
It's got a slick and simple rear spoiler that serves its purpose. And, that exhaust end, that's 3inches in diameter all the way from the engine. It's got a Calis Front End (eye lid) and a body all around.

Well, So What's Inside
This is what you see under the bonnet and the boot. The big silver pipe on the right side of the engine block goes to the a bigger Intercooler.
As to my sound system, it uses 4 3-way JBL speakers, an ALPINE main unit, 6 CD stacker. The left amplifier for the Subwoofer while the right amp for the in-cabin speakers.

My apologies for this last photo, its a bit crooked, the scanner decided to screw up the left side of the car. Fog lamps were suggested to be installed on the air dams unfortunately the right air dam serves as an air-filter intake. This set-up ensures that cool outside air goes into the engine unlike the standard air intake which was sucking hot air from inside the engine bay.

That's All Mate!
