You duck just as a fire bolt whizzes past above your head. Apparently the doorway was trapped. For a moment you crawl along on the dusty floor, but as no further bolts appear, you get to your feet and wipe your dirty hands on your tunic, picking up your lantern again.
You pick your way slowly along the tunnel, which has a few piles of rubble where there have been minor cave-ins from the roof. You haven't gone very far when you notice that the air feels colder. A few more feet, and you are getting goose bumps. Shivering, you pull your cloak closer about your shoulders. Suddenly, something moves up ahead. Raising your lantern to see better, you can make out the outline of another adventurer, not much older than yourself. He is wearing a cloak and tunic, and holds a sword. He moves toward you, and you realize that he isn't walking. He floats, and you can see the wall and tunnel behind him through his clothing.
