Chapter 2
The next day... (Ring, Ring)
Christa– I’ll get it!
Christa ran and picked up the phone.
Christa– Hello?
Jesse– Hello, is Christa there?
Christa– This is she.
Jesse– Oh, hi this is Jesse.
Christa– Hey. What's up?
Jesse– Well I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie or something tomorrow.
There was a silence as Jesse awaited her answer.
Christa– I’d love to. What movie?
Jesse– How about "The Others?"
Christa– Cool, that looked scary.
Jesse– Yeah, so I'll pick you up at 5:00?
Christa– Sure!
Jesse– See you then.

Christa woke up at 12:00 and started to get ready. After hours of looking at clothes, her room was trashed but she had found the perfect outfit...A tight blue tank top and short shorts. By the time she had finished picking out her outfit it was 3:00. Christa– OMG only 2 more hours to get ready!!! Christa hopped into the shower, blow dried her hair and was finishing her makeup when there was a knock at the door.
Christa– Oh no! MY DAD!!
Christa ran downstairs as fast as she could.
Christa– I'm going to the movies. I’ll be back in a couple of hours!
Mrs. Trisha– Okay hun!
Mr. Trisha– Who are you going with?
Christa– You don’t know him...
Mr. Trisha– Him???
Christa–Bye! Christa ran out the door. Jesse was there with a cab waiting.
Jesse– (Seriously, but in a joking way) Your chariot awaits!
Christa-(In a fancy tone) Why thank you!
Jesse puts his arm out,
"Shall we?" Christa takes it...
"Sure!"
They both start laughing and get into the cab. During the car ride they talk about everything from school, to likes and dislikes. When they get to the movies, Jesse pays for her ticket. They go to their seats just as the movie was starting. The lights go off and Christa screamed. Jesse looked at her strangely.
Christa– I'm just practicing.
Jesse– Okay.
As the movie started to get scary Jesse put his arm around Christa. IAs a scary part came, she grabbed Jesse and hid her face in his chest. He laughed and when she looked up again he hugged her close. They held hands the rest of the movie. When the movie was over Jesse called a cab and they went home. Jesse walked Christa up to her doorstep...
Christa– I had a really good time.
Jesse– Me too.
Jesse leaned in and gave her a kiss goodnight. After they kissed they hugged and heard giggles.
Jesse– I think we have an audience.
Christa– What?
Jesse pointed to the window where Christa's three younger brothers were watching and laughing hysterically. Christa and Jesse started laughing. They hugged one last time and then Jesse left. Christa stepped inside and as she shut the door behind her, she leaned against it and slid to the floor. When she looked up her brothers' were imitating her and Jesse kissing.
Christa– Quit it!
Jeremy– OoO I’m telling Daddy...
Christa– NO!
Jeremy– Ohhh DAD...CHRISTA KISSED A BOY OUT ON THE PORCH!!!!
Mr. Trisha- Grace, you deal with this.
Mrs. Trisha– How was your date honey?
Christa– It was great. I'm gonna go upstairs now...okay?
Christa walked upstairs and fell asleep with thoughts of Jesse in her head.
