Chapter 3
Christa woke up the next morning and looked at her clock. It was 1:00. She went downstairs and her family was eating lunch.
(Ring, Ring, Ring)
Christa– I’ll get it! Christa ran to the phone.
Jesse– Hello Christa? It's Jesse
Christa– Hey!
Jesse– Do you have any plans for today?
Christa– Well, there was this one boy I was gonna hang out with...
Jesse-(Disappointingly) Oh...
Christa– Yeah, his name is Jesse, do you know him?
Jesse replied happily..."Yes I do! Oh and my friend Chris just broke up with his girlfriend and he's kinda down. I thought maybe you could find a friend for him and we could all go to Friendly's or something.
Christa– That sounds great, and I know just the right person.
Jesse– Okay, so we will pick you up at 6:00?
Christa– Great! I’ll call Marcy!
Jesse– Bye babe...
Christa– Bye.

Marcy– Hello?
Christa– Marcy, how would you like to go on a date with Chris Trousdale??
Marcy– YEAH!!
Christa– They will pick us up at my house at 6:00.
Marcy– OMG I BETTER GET READY!!
Christa- Yeah me too. BYE!

At 5:30 Christa was all ready to go. Marcy came over and they both sat waiting in the living room. When the doorbell rang they both jumped up.
Christa– Hair?
Marcy– Check. Makeup?
Christa– Check.
Christa opened the door and Chris and Jesse were standing there. This time a limousine was out there.
Jesse– Hi, this is Chris.
Christa– And this is Marcy.
Chris– Hi Marcy.
Marcy– Hey, you ready to go?
Chris– You bet!
The four kids got in the limo.
Chris– So how old are you guys?
Marcy– I’m 15.
Christa– And I’m 14.
Chris– Cool...
When the kids got to Friendly's they got a table for four and sat down. They talked about school, friends, and music. Before they realized it was time to go.
Jesse– Do you girls wanna go walk near the park? The rivers really cool at night.
Christa– Sure!
Chris– It's cool with me.
Marcy– Lets go.
Chris and Jesse paid for dinner and they all set off to go to the park. When they got to the park the moon was out. Jesse and Christa walked ahead. Jesse had his hand around Christa’s waist and Chris and Marcy were walking hand in hand behind them.
Christa– Wow this is really beautiful...
Jesse– Not as beautiful as you.
Christa– You're sweet. (Christa said while blushing)
Christa leaned her head on Jesse’s shoulder as they walked along with the stars up in the sky.
Jesse– Can I ask you something?
Christa– Sure
Jesse– Would you be my girlfriend?
Christa– Of course!
Jesse leaned in and him and Christa kissed. The kiss seemed to last forever. And when it was over they just looked each other in the eyes and walked on in silence.
Marcy– Chris, I had a really good time tonight.
Chris– The night isn’t over yet. Chris and Marcy kissed, then held hands, and walked on. Christa looked at her watch. It was 8:00.
Christa– Wow I really have to go. It’s a school night and my parents are strict about it.
Jesse– Okay. YO CHRIS!
Chris– Yeah?
Jesse– The girls have to go. I don’t have my cell... can you call us all a cab?
Sure no problem Chris called a taxi and they took the girls home. Goodbyes were said with hugs, kisses and swapping of screen names. Neither girl could begin to imagine what had happened that night. They all went to sleep with smiles on their faces. The next day when Christa got home from school she signed on AOL.
Jam3456– Hey, whats up?
FallenAngel– Hey Jesse! Nm u?
Jam34560– Nm...thinking of you
FallenAngel– :)
Jam34560– So do u wanna do something Friday? Chris got his learners permit...
FallenAngel– SURE! How about Rye Playland?
Jam34560– Kewl. I’ll tell Chris and tell him to tell Marcy.
FallenAngel– Okay. C u then...call me k?
Jam34560– Don’t worry, I will.

Christa signed off and started counting down the minutes until she would see Jesse again... The days went by slowly. Christa and Jesse talked on the phone every night. It was Thursday when Christa heard the phone ring.
(Ring, Ring, Ring)
Christa– Hello?
Jesse- Hey! It’s Jesse.
Christa– Hey, what’s up?
Jesse– Are we still on for tomorrow?
Christa– Definitely.
Jesse– Chris and me will pick you up at your school. What time do you get out?
Christa– 3:00...
Jesse– Us too! Alright I’ll see you then.
Christa– Ok bye!

Marcy– Only one more period...then we get to see Jesse and Chris!
Christa– I know I know!!!!
During the next period, all Marcy and Christa could do was stare at the clock. Finally it was three o’clock. The girls quickly packed up their books in their backpacks and ran to the bathroom to freshen up. When they were convinced they looked perfect, they ran out of the bathroom practically knocking down a teacher and continued to run to the door to go outside. When they got to the door, they came to a screeching stop then calmly, and slowly walked outside. Chris and Jesse were leaning against a tree looking down at their feet and talking. When they saw the girls they looked up. Chris and Jesse each ran up to their girl and gave them a kiss.
Chris– Hey girl.
Marcy– Hey, so are we ready to go?
Jesse– Yep.
Chris– My car’s up here.
All of them walked up the street and got in Chris’s Jeep. Chris and Marcy sat up front listening to music and joking around while Jesse and Christa sat in the back making out.
