Christmas Time IS Here Again
12.10.04
10 DAYS! 10 days folks until we return home to rock the Conduit stage with our good friends The Cryptkeeper Five, Dr. Thunder, The Checkers, and Jim Gaven. "LUZER's Rock 'N Roll Christmas" is gearing up to be one of those funtastic shows that you will one day read about in your history books. "Chapter Review: Name 2004's Best Concert in Trenton." And if you don't show up Friday, you may mistakenly put Kenny Rogers Christmas show...and sir/madam, you would be sadly mistaken. We're also going to have our brand new holiday EP available at our two Christmas shows next week...that's right folks, TWO chances next week to get your fix of LUZER flavored holiday cheer. Tuesday's show is at The Whiskey Dix in Philadelphia, attached to the legendary Electric Factory. We hear that the balcony caters to the all ages crowd, but if you're under 21, what are you doing out on a Tuesday night at 11 pm? I kiiiiiiid...and not too humorously. Which brings us to Friday's shindig, "LUZER's 1st Annual Rock 'N Roll Christmas". This will a party not to be missed. This is an all ages event, so there's no excuse for you, your grandmom, shucks, even Aunt Tom, to make it out to this one. The music will begin right at doors with Jim Gaven. Following his set The Checkers will follow, then Dr. Thunder & The Cryptkeeper Five, with your favorite foursome from anotha mutha taking the stage at 10 pm. We will be performing songs from "The Yule Rock EP", "Reset", and maybe even a track or two off the first two albums. We'll also be ending with the night with the usual hometown "singalong/jam" with members of all the other bands, with a special holiday character in toe as well. Trust me. You will not want to miss this. We hope to see you all there, and make sure to get your tickets in advance at The Conduit box office. They're cheaper ($8 as opposed to $10 day of show), and the show is looking like a possible sell out, and you don't want to be left out in the cold streets of Trenton now do you? Finally, we are debuting three tracks from "The Yule Rock EP" over at our page on MySpace.com, including the first new LUZER original since the release of "Reset", It Doesn't Feel Like Christmas. We've been rotating the other two songs, so stop on over and enjoy the preview of "The Yule Rock EP".

Ain't been round since you know when...
11.19.04
After a few weeks off, we are about to jump back in the thick of things. First off, we'll be finishing up the "Yule Rock" Christmas EP next week. It's coming along really well, and we're looking forward as always to getting back over to S.S. Sound Studios to spend some loving hours with our engineer Mr. John Bailey to finish it up. We'll be be back with more news on the album next week, but the big news is a swinging all-ages (despite what it says over at The Conduit's website) shindig in Trenton at The Conduit on December 17. After months away from what the rock and rollers call the "local scene", we'll be returning to Trenton with special guests and good friends The Cryptkeeper Five, Dr. Thunder, and another band TBA. We'll also have a few special guests sitting in on a few songs, as well as the usual hometown jam to end the night. So be sure to mark down December 17 on your calendar for a kick ass Christmas celebration...LUZER style. In other news, we've got a few tunes featured on some compilations going around the country this month. In the last few weeks we've been chosen to appear on a number of comps going out to radio, promoters, and everywhere in between. "Come On Mandy" is featured on Discmaker's Independent Music World Series album, as well as Nimbit's and CD Freedom's Holiday Party Compilation. Over on the Sonicbids compilation, we've got "When She Cries" representin'. Finally, we had a photoshoot last week for some new promo shots, and we're expecting them back before Thanksgiving. Not to mention we've added a new digital camera to our arsenal of LUZER toys, so after an extended hiatus, the photo gallery will be returning strong in the next couple weeks.
So anyway, we'll be back next week with all the kick ass details on the Christmas show, the Christmas cd, and hopefully have a few new pics to trade when we do the old "Age/Sex/Location/Pic?" online intro. Till then...keep on keepin' on.

iTunes Baby
10.26.04
It came a few weeks later than the other online stores (Napster, Real Rhapsody, etc.), but Reset is now available through the internet's top music store iTunes. For those of you who don't have iTunes, the program is a free download available at Apple's iTunes page, and well worth the minute it will take you to sign up. For those of you who already have iTunes, just click here to check out our page over there. In other online LUZER news, we finally set up our page over at MySpace.com. All four of us will update our BLOG over on that site, and it's a great way to keep in touch with all of you without the hassle of actual human contact. That is also a quick and easy set-up if you aren't already a member, but if you are we hope you add us as your friend.
After a couple weeks off, we're back on the live scene at the legendary Bitter End tomorrow night. We're set to take the stage at 10 (which may allow us a quick trip over to Piano's to check out fellow New Jersey power-pop rock n' rollers Spiraling at 8:30 pm), and we'll be doing a full 45-60 minute set of all your favorites. It's part of a Sonicbids.com event hosted by Toke Squealy, and it should be a real kick ass time. We're looking forward to being back in the city and making our debut on the legendary Bitter End stage. Good times shall be had. And a quick note, we are firming up details for an awesome Christmas appearance back home in Trenton for December 17th, including the release of our long awaited Christmas release The Yule Rock EP featuring some renditions of some Christmas classics and a new song or two. So be sure to mark December 17 on your calendar. We'll be back with details on that next week. See you on MySpace.com and at The Bitter End tomorrow.

We done missed that September month
10.12.04
Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since we've updated. We've been everywhere from Philly and Allentown in good ol PA to Cincinnati, Charlotte, and Baltimore. I'll leave the details of the touring to Chris's new tour journal, but all in all it was a kick ass few weeks. Chris will be back with Allentown & Charlotte journal entries later this week, but the beyond ridiculous adventures in Cincinnati will keep you held over in the meantime (and well worth the long read I might add). But alas, after a busy month of touring all over this great nation, we'll be back in Jersey for now working on a few upcoming projects. One of these projects is the completion of the shelved 2003 cd, The Yule Rock EP, LUZER's first Christmas release. With any bit of luck, we should be able to finish it up by early November for a late November/early December release, accompanied by a New Jersey Christmas bash. We also haven't forgotten about the long awaited LUZER DVD. We've got tons of footage from the last four years, but we've added a lot to our shows over the last few months of touring, and damn it, it deserves to be captured on digital video. Actually, speaking of digital video, we've got a brand new video of Gimme Everything over on the media page taped at The Recher Theater this past September 11 in Towson, MD. There's also a video of Hey Jodie, but a few people have been having some problems getting it to play. We'll hopefully have that fixed by week's end and possibly have a couple other tunes up too, but in the meantime enjoy the opening tune from our Recher set.
We've also updated our press page (now linked on the menu above as well) with some reviews from the last month, including an article from The Cincinnati's City Beat which gave us the memorable quote "Reset, is an over-the-top rocker guaranteed to make Garage Rock poseurs shit themselves". Spinal Tap would be proud. (You can't print that!) Appearantly friends, you can. Finally, we'd just like to send our condolences out to the family of Christopher Reeve. In my opinion, there has never been an actor who was born to play a character more than Chris was born to play Superman, and as huge Superman fans we were determined to feature him somehow on the cover of Reset this past June. As highlighted on the cover here, Christopher Reeve (or at least his legs and cape in flight) can be seen on the inside of the Superman: The Movie album on the lower right-hand corner of the Reset cover, our little nod to him and the man of steel. We are beyond proud to have (in our own small way) paid tribute to a truly great man, and I think the guys over at SuperHeroHype.com said it best today..."If there is a heaven, Christopher Reeve is up there now soaring higher than Superman ever could."
We've got a few weeks off and then we're up at The Bitter End in Greenwich Village on the 27th. See y'all in (cue the over-the-top southern accent) New York City.
(And click the picture above to the left to see how we really spent our September)

Available NOW in a store near you
8.31.04
Greetings and salutations! We are back from New Orleans, and we brought plenty of news for y'all. We'll start first with the biggest item of newsworthy fun. Today, August 31, marks the national release of our second full-length album Reset. I know many of you have already picked up your copy at one of our concerts or at a local New Jersey store, but for the rest of you Reset is now available where ever cd's are sold. So stop in your local Best Buy, Tower Records, wherever you may purchase your music, and ask for a copy of LUZER's Reset. And for those of you digitally inclined, the album will be released mid-September through all of the digital download stores, including iTunes, Real Rhapsody, and Napster.
In other news, New Orleans was a kick ass time and The Howlin' Wolf is an awesome venue. We usually don't do the whole "tour journal" thing, but we've had a lot of emails asking for it, so let's give it a shot. Click here to read about our New Orleans escapades. We are returning to our old Philly stomping grounds this Friday night, Abilene, before we play the new Grape St. on the 15th. We also have a few more dates confirmed over on our tour page, including a double-header on September 11 at George Mason University and The Recher Theatre in Towson, MD for you Baltimore fans. Finally, for you gear heads out there, Tim just got a new guitar. After playing an array of Strats and Tele's on Reset, it's time to welcome a Fender into the LUZER family of guitars. It's a new 2004 Fender Nashville Power Tele, complete with custom Texas specials and piezo pick-ups. For those of you "gear talk challenged", it's a white electric guitar...and it's KICK ASS! See y'all Friday in Philly.

8.11.04 Just a quick reminder that we're back home over at our old stomping grounds, Katmandu in Trenton, tonight. It's an all ages show (under 21 must be accompanied by a parent), and we'll be closing the night at 11 pm. Hope to see you all there, and in the meantime check out www.TwoThumbsUpFest.com for info on our second hometown performance this Saturday at Veteran's Park. |

Grape St. postponed
7.31.04
Well, we were set to kick off Grape St. Philadelphia's new Sunday night concert series tomorrow, but its been postponed until September. We apologize to anyone who was planning on coming out, but those of you in the Philadelphia area can catch us tonight at The Street Road Bar in Bensalem, PA. In the meantime, we've been busy with a lot of cool things...a lot of cool things we can't really announce yet, but stay tuned to the site for some very exciting news in the coming weeks. In other news, we have pretty much every weekend booked from now until mid-October, so there will be plenty of chances to catch us live in the next few months. We'll be leaving early this week to hang out with The Mahoney Brothers at Knoebels (where we'll be performing Saturday night), but we'll be back with an update when we return to Jersey next weekend.
Finally, our condolences go out to the family and friends of Ozma. Ozma was turning a mere nine years old this year, but has left us much too early. Ozma had years of good times ahead of it, but unfortunately those years were cut short. We all can keep our hearts in touch with Ozma by "tapping the table"...and postcards. Ozma |

Back home...for now...
7.1.04Well after a short "mini-tour" this past weekend, from Harrisburg, PA to Kentucky and back, we are now back home in Jersey for a few weeks before we head out on our full summer tour kicking off in Florida on the 24th. In the meantime you fellow New Jerseyans can join us at the Black Potatoe (thats no type-o folks) Music Festival on July 10th in Clinton, NJ. They have a kick ass line up with three days of great music, including Levon Helm and the Vivino Brothers from The Max Weinberg 7 (Conan 'O Brien's band for you non-late night television viewers). Stop on over to BlackPotatoe.com for tickets and more info on the show. We also have confirmed a Philly area date in the midst of our tour at a new venue in Bensalem called The Street Road Bar. We'll have more details on that in the coming weeks, but for those of you Philly based, be sure to mark July 31 on your calendar. Finally, we just confirmed the date of August 14th for a great event we did in our hometown of Hamilton, NJ last year called The Two Thumbs Up Festival. This was a cancer benefit outdoor concert that our friends in Doctor Thunder put together at Veteran's Park, and we're very proud to be a part of it again. We'll be using this date as a "welcome home" show of sorts for our summer tour, and we urge everyone to clear your schedule and come out for a good cause. We'll have plenty of more details in the coming weeks, but we're already looking forward to playing in front a hometown crowd again! Again, as mentioned above, we just returned home from Harrisburg by way of Louisville, KY, and we just wanted to thank everyone involved with The Millennium Music Conference and The Rock N' Ride Festival. Everyone from the bands to the promoters we're all rad people, and we definitely are ready to get back down below the Mason-Dixon Line to enjoy some more southern hospitality on our summer run in a few weeks! In the meantime, we our proud to announce that our new album, "Reset", has been getting some phenomenal reviews and has been selling great at all of our shows. But now it is available right here online as well as over at the internet's biggest e-store, Amazon.com! And for those of you central Jersey LUZER fans, you can stop over at Rock Dreams Sound & Vision in Mercerville Shopping Center (Rte. 33 in Hamilton) if you wish to avoid the shipping costs of an internet purchase and pick up your copy of "Reset" Flinstone style...dare I say it...with your bare hands! Finally, we finally updated our media page with some press, some quotes and testimonials about the new album. We are much too humble to tell you how great the new album is, but we have no reservations about letting other people do our bragging. So stop on over and see what some radio and newspaper folks had to say about the new album. And come back soon for some new videos and the full interview we did a few weeks back with the Trenton Times for those of you who couldn't get a copy of the paper since Mr. Seeth bought up every copy in sight. See y'all soon!
