"Keep on keepin' on..."
4.10.04
Hey everyone. It's been quite a while since we updated the site, so we figured it's about time that we filled everyone in on what we've been up to. First off, we're lining up a couple dates at the end of the month and early May to try out the rest of the new songs live. So far the only dates we can announce are April 23 at Club 66 in Edgewood, Maryland, and May 7 at the Triumph Brew Pub in New Hope, New Jersey, but stay tuned to the site for possible additions. Well, the first sessions for the new album began last year on June 8, and nearly 11 months later on May 6 we will be putting the final touches on the new album. The album will consist of 15 songs, chosen from about 30 songs that we worked on for the last year, and will be released in mid-to-late June. In the coming weeks we will have details on a huge cd release party event, as well as the final track listing of the album, with MP3 samples, etc. Also we are currently booking our summer tour, which will take us from New England to Florida and everywhere in between from late July through early August, as well as a few select hometown appearances in conjunction with the release of the new album, and we are very excited to get out there and bring the new material to the masses. So be sure to keep an eye on our schedule page, and sign up for our mailing list so when we visit that town near you, you won't miss it. Finally, we've been kicking around album titles for months now, but we haven't been able to settle on one title. So we decided to offer you, the trusty LUZER fan, the chance to send us your suggestions, and if your suggestion is chosen you'll not only have your name in the new cd, but we'll also throw in a huge prize package when the new cd is released in June. So don't be shy, drop us an email at info@luzer.net with the subject "New Album Title Suggestion", and in the meantime stay tuned to LUZERonline.com for up to date news on the new cd, the summer tour, and also the DVD release later this year.

"Hangin' in a chow line...Good Times"
3.1.04
Wow...what a great time Saturday was. The place was packed to the brim, and the energy in the audience was just intense. Can't wait to see the footage for the upcoming DVD. We'd especially like to thank DJ, Clarkie, Croux, Jeff, Tom Roy & Buddy over at the Recher, and Buzzy for all their help with the DVD shoot production and pulling off a pretty much flawless night. For those of you who were there, as always, thanks for coming out and singing along. We'd also like to thank the nice people at Bainesville Electronics for carrying 3 watt fuses that fit our LUZER sign. Up until about an hour before doors we were set to go on stage as "UZER". The "L" on our sign blew a fuse, and the hunt began in Towson to find a 3 watt fuse to replace it. After nearly two hours of searching Baltimore, Sally tracked down Bainesville Electronics and saved the day...only to have the always generous employees of The Recher Theatre inform us that they had more 3 watt fuses than a young man could ever dream of. Oh sweet irony, how LUZER loves thee. Anyway, the shoot went great and we're psyched to see the footage when it's all done and edited. And for those of you who couldn't make it this past Saturday, fear not because we'll be filming one more performance this summer to finish out the DVD in conjunction with the release of the new cd. Also in store for July and August is a full summer tour in support of June's release of our long awaited second full length album. In the meantime, we're busily working on the final songs of the new album and narrowing down the tracklist from the 28 songs we've started to the final 15. Although we'll be spending the majority of the next few months recording, we'll be making a few Jersey appearances including two full hour sets at The Triumph Brewing Company in Princeton on March 20. We'll be doing a rare full band "Unplugged" set followed by a full-on-electric set featuring songs from our upcoming cd as well as Greatest Hits and The Fake Ass Rock Star EP. Stay tuned to LUZERonline.com for up to date info on all upcoming LUZER shows and releases. Finally, stop on over to our contacts page and drop Danny "Sabus" Seeth a little birthday greeting for leap years equal important years of birth for that young man. Thats right folks, March the first brings about the twenty-first anniversary of your favorite "drummer from anotha mother"...unless your his sister. In that case, you would share Pat as a mother. In other words, Kate Seeth should disregard the last few sentences. Also, if your favorite drummer happens to be Neil Peart, and Dan falls into your number 2 spot on your favorite drummers list you can disregard the comment above. Either way, be sure to send your birthday greetings his way. Even if you like that overplaying son of a bitch in Rush. Until next time, remember...nothing says 21 like 1 1/2.

"Two weeks and counting..."
1.14.04
Well we all know that Valentines Day is fake, so let's just all celebrate the first member of LUZER stepping into the wild world of 21. That's right folks, your favorite lead singer is now 21 years young. And more importantly, what that means is that there's only two more weeks until our DVD shoot down in Maryland at the Recher Theatre. We'll be playing mostly all of our new songs that will be available this June on our upcoming CD, including two brand new songs that we'll be performing live for the very first time. Let the "oohs" and "ahhs" begin....go ahead.....it's alright, mom won't think you're looking at porn....there you go.....alright that's enough. So once again, make sure to get there nice and early to be there for the REAL DEAL of a DVD shoot Saturday, February 28, 8 pm at the Recher Theater. In other news, we submitted "When She Cries" to garageband.com a few months back and it's steadily been moving up their charts. We're very proud to announce that out of more than 21,000 songs on their all-time pop/rock charts, we have just broke the TOP 20 and are floating around between the 15th and 18th chart positions. Garageband.com's charts are determined by reviews by fellow musicians, producers, and other industry professionals and was started up by none other than The Beatles producer his-self, Sir George Martin. Anyway, it's a real honor to have a song that far up in the ranks with all the great competition on there, so please head over to garageband.com and give a listen to "When She Cries" as well as all the other great indie bands' tunes. Finally, after months of featuring a cool "Coming Soon" logo and an even cooler negative image of Sally, our "Picks Of The Week" page is finally up and running. So click the link to the right, and stop on over. And stop on by the guestbook while you're at it and drop us a note. See you all at Recher on the 28th (and to catch up on what we've been up to and what we've got in store for 2004 read our update below from a few weeks back). Excelsior...

"Oh the fun we will have..."
1.27.04 It's been a busy month, and its well overdue for a website update. First we'd like to welcome everyone to the new year, and hope that everyone had a healthy holiday. With that said, down to "biz-nass". After a busy 2003 of recording and touring, we're finally looking at a few finish lines this year. First up, the long awaited LUZER DVD... Most of you know about the concert we filmed at the Down On The Farm Music Fest back in 2002. We've also been filming our escapades on the road ever since then, but we still haven't gotten the footage we really want to sum up the new material. We're gonna give it two more shots. The first also happens to be our next live performance. We're returning to The Recher Theater in Towson, MD on Februaray 28, and we'll be pulling out all the stops. We recently got the recording capabilities to capture the show in 5.1 surround sound, and we'll be bringing down a full camera crew. Plus we'll be debuting a new song or two from the new album for the first time live. All in all a good time not to be missed. So that's February 28th, and make sure to be there at 8 pm sharp to get a good place right up front for our set. In the wonderful world of new album news, we spent the last month building our home studio and we're finally starting to get back to recording. We're also talking to a soon to be announced producer to cut a couple songs this spring to round out the new album track list. The current plans for the new cd are looking like a 14-16 track full length album released in June, with the first 200 copies coming with a free bonus cd with an additional 10-12 songs. We'll be playing scattered dates up until the release of the album, followed by a full fledged summer tour in conjunction with the release of the new CD. Finally, later this year we will be releasing the long awaited LUZER DVD, which will feature music videos, a full LUZER tour companion, a documentary on the making of the new album, LUZERiffic short films, and of course the three full-length concerts (Down On The Farm 2002, Recher Theater...that's right...February 28...next month, and a third yet to be announced show this summer). If this wasn't enough, the first 200 copies of the DVD will come with yet ANOTHER 10-12 song cd of all new material. So in short, we'll be laying low for the next couple months (excluding the Recher Show next month and a few scattered dates through the spring) recording the rest of the new material, then we'll be filling up the rest of 2004 with 3 all new cd's featuring at least 3 dozen new LUZER songs, a rock-packed DVD, and full fleged tour this summer. So stay tuned to LUZERonline.com for up to date news and new mp3's and videos straight from the studio. As a matter of fact, just click the "What's New" link to the right when you stop at the site, and we'll be listing everything that's been added recently. In the meantime, enjoy the current featured MP3, the previously unreleased acoustic version of "Hey Jodie", a completely ficticious tale about stalking a former child star from a certain TV sitcom that has recently been added into the Nick At Nite lineup. What does it mean when the shows you grow up with are now "classics" on Nick at Nite? It seems like just yesterday post 8 pm Nickelodeon would host Mr. Ed and Get Smart. Now the early 90's are "classic". Well that's enough rambling for today friends. Check back soon, and hope to see you all once again at The Recher Theater next month on the 28th in Maryland. We may also stop over to the 98 Rock studios to do a quick on air appearance in conjunction with the DVD shoot, so be sure to come back soon to LUZERonline.com for all the newest details. Until then...keep believin' in a thing called love.
