"The Scottsale Ranch electronic newsletter came about because e-mail is the primary communication mode outside of our club meetings," says Vice President Public Relations and Newsletter Editor David Fitzgerald, CTM.

"As the new VP of PR, I decided that a newsletter might help motivate new members to continue their quest (towards a CTM) as well as help motivate older members to renew their enthusiasm."

David says he is experimenting with different formats as he tries to continuously improve "the look" of the newsletter. 

"The technical email constraints we deal with are:
- my e-mail software and server (Outlook Express and Cox Cable)
- the club members e-mail systems (i.e...   AOL e-mail is not very
sophisticated and doesn't like graphics)," David adds.

David has been in Toastmasters for 4 years and is working on his ATM and CL.

"I joined TM in response to a challenge of a motivational speaker at a previous company sales meeting", said David. "After 10 years of sales and public speaking I thought that there still might be room for improvement. I was hooked after my first TM meeting."
