HISTORY

One day, nearly a year ago, a guitarist and drummer, Joe and Chad, which happened to be two very close friends, rendezvoused at each others' houses to play cover songs together.  They soon came to the conclusion that if they had a bassist to play along with them, the music would sound much more complete.  So it turned out that Daniel was the missing piece to the puzzle.  He was the inspiration, the "magical light" if you will.  With Chad hitting beats like no other on the drums, Joe strumming his Ibanez Guitar like his idol Dave Grohl, and Daniel slapping his Fender Squire Bass, they started writing their own songs, which led to the formation of the band known as Broken Headlights.  Almost immediately after the new band was created, the three started practicing almost every other day during the summer.

When Chad was at dinner one night, he and his older sister Alex were discussing band names, when his sister suddenly announced, “Broken Headlights”!  Chad was so excited that night when he got home that he "felt the urge" to call his fellow band members to explain the good news.  So as a band, they decided that their name would become the world-renowned Broken Headlights!

They are now so happy that they have come this far in their band.  They plan on sticking together throughout their high school years at Chaparral and even college; perhaps until death due them apart.  They have recently been recording a demo and have some shows booked for the near future.  Click the Upcoming Events link for more information.
