What is Holistic Psychology

Tyler Woods has a Ph.D. in holistic health and is a board certified alternative medical practitioner. She has a Masters degree in psychology/counseling, and a bachelor's degree in holistic psychology. She is an educator, a psychospiritualist, and an advocate for helping others through a holistic approach. Tyler integrates all of her knowledge and training to help people realize their full potential and attain optimal physical, mental and spiritual health.

Holistic Medicine- This technique focuses on addressing the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. The practice integrates conventional and alternative therapies to prevent and treat disease, and promote optimal health.

Nutrition- An exploration of the relationship between diet, nutrition and emotional and mental health. Through proper diet, many issues can be cured.

Supplements– The use of supplements to treat illness and encourage balance with little to no side effects and curing symptoms rather than masking them. 

Psychospiritual- Using a spiritual approach to heal emotional and physical concerns by interpreting or explaining the spiritual through psychological concepts. (Not to be confused with psychotherapy)

Grief Coach- Tyler Woods Ph.D. has facilitated support groups for over ten years and works with individuals and families whose lives are challenged by grief. She acknowledges their grief and helps people learn healthy ways to express their pain so they can free their emotional energies to focus on life and the challenges ahead. Tyler specializes in working with people who have lost someone to suicide. She has been the facilitator for survivors of suicide for over eight years and has worked with hundreds of families reclaim their life after a loved one’s suicide. Coaching is the opportunity to connect on a one-to-one basis and focuses on you; therefore, your goals and what is important to you is attainable. 

Active Wellness (AW)- A holistic modality that integrates activity and environment to produce overall wellbeing. Playing racquetball or batting some balls in a batting cage to deal with anger and frustration; perhaps a walk in a park for a change in environment and an easy energy boost. Think about going to the zoo with your children while helping them deal with grief and loss.

Hado Water Therapy
The use of tuning forks to produce a proven technique in healing that integrates, water, vibrations, and positive thought to encourage healthy mind, body and spirit.  

Meditation/Guided Imagery
