Happiness is not about what happens to you,
But how you choose to respond to what happens.
(excerpt from How to be happy Dammit, by Karen Salmansohn.)

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny
matters compared to what lies within us.
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Welcome:
My life has been filled with wonderful things and some not so wonderful, but I am who I am in spite and because of them. I have been blessed with knowing some very excellent people in my life, those souls that touch you, for a fleeting moment, then leave you better than they found you. I cherish every memory, and even every tear. I know that one day I'll see them again. I hope you have been so blessed as I.

Original Poetry
I archived the poetry ,I wrote while in a state of Insomnia.
I hope you like.
They don't rhyme.. lol but I don't care.

Poetry Archives
(side-note: These were written by me. Please do not take them,
and yeah I know, your saying, right, like anyone would want them, but hey it could happen! :p)

Without my journey
and without the spring
I would have missed this dawn.

Someone commented how they wished they could find my email address, I absent minded didn't put it anywhere on the pages, *shrug* so... if you are so inclined, here ya go Email Heather

It was just another story printed on the second page
Underneath the Tiger's football score
It said he was only eighteen, a boy about my age
They found him face down on the bedroom floor

There'll be services on Friday at the Lawrence Funeral Home
Then out on Mooresville highway, they'll lay him 'neath a stone...

How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had
How do you feel so empty, you want to let it all go
How do you get that lonely... and nobody know

Did his girlfriend break up with him, did he buy or steal that gun?
Did he lose a fight with drugs or alcohol?
Did his Mom and Daddy forget to say I love you son?
Did no one see the writing on the wall?

I'm not blamin' anybody, we all do the best we can
I know hindsight's 20/20, but I still don't understand...

How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had
How do you feel so empty, you want to let it all go
How do you get that lonely... and nobody know

It was just another story printed on the second page
Underneath the Tiger's football score...
