I was checking my e-mails when I noticed Megan had written me! I quickly clicked on it and read what it said.

o how's Cali. I heard Nick proposed to you, so are you gonna say yes? You better! But Nick is really bummed, he really misses you. I cant believe my wedding is in two weeks, Guess What, my old friend Jessica has decided to move down to Orlando. She is staying with Nick, in your old room. Apparently, they have met before. Hope you don't mind. Oh, I have to go my friends are throwing a shower for me and Brian, Ha ha we had to include the guys somehow, bye..... Megan.
Reading this really made me homesick, so I decided I'd go ahead and call Nick. The reason I had put this off is because I didn't want to hurt him, by telling him I didn't think I was ready for marriage.
After I had carefully punched in the digits of Nicks cell phone I heard an unfamiliar voice.
"Hello?" said the female's voice.
"Uhhh…Yeah…is Nick there?"
"Hold on a minute!"
"Hello," I heard Nick pick up.
"Hey Nick, uhhh…who was that picked up the phone?" I asked the curiosity showing in my voice.
"Oh, that was just Jessica."
"Oh, Is that the girl that is staying…"
"Oh, I'm sorry Mandy, you caught me at a bad time I was just about to take Jess out for her birthday, sorry, love you" he said hanging up the phone.
I sighed as I too hung up the phone. What was going on with him? I wondered. Was he forgetting about me?
