After countless auditions, and rejects I found myself sitting on a plane, flying back home. I gave it all up, everything. It wasn't worth it…giving up the people I love most.
Megan's wedding was just days away and I was surprising her by flying back to go to it, only it was for good.
I missed Nick too much to never see him and only talk to him, every now and then, and having that feeling that is always telling you something is wrong.
When the plane landed I took a cab back to my old apartment. I carefully opened the doorknob, and when I walked in I dropped everything In my hands, as tears began to well up in my eyes. "N…Ni…Nick, how could you," I said staring at him with his arms around another girl, KISSING HER!
"OMYGOD, MANDY YOUR BACK!"
"YEAH, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR GOOD, BUT I GUESS I SHOULD GO BACK!" I screamed.
"OH, so you're Mandy!"
"YEAH, YOU BET YOUR BUTT I'M MANDY, AND I THOUGHT I WAS NICKS GIRLFRIEND, BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG!" I retorted, throwing both the engagement ring and the promise ring, at Nick, and turned around and tried to walk away.
"No, Mandy I love you I do, I'm so sorry!" Nick said grabbing my arm, and looking deep into my eyes. "Ummm…Jess can you give us some time alone." He asked realizing she was still in the room.
"Sure, But Mandy, just so you know please don't be mad at Nick, he really does love you, and your all he ever talks about!" she said, before she quietly left the apartment.
I just stood there, lost in Nicks gaze, tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Mandy, I am really, really sorry." He repeated.
"Oh, sure your sorry, YOUR SORRY, LISTEN I SPENT TWO YEARS, TWO FUCKIN YEARS OF MY LIFE ON YOU!
"Mandy, please don't do this, I LOVE YOU." Nick said as his bright blue eyes, became cloudy and gray.
"Nick, I still love you, but you betrayed me, remember our promise, together, forever and always, well, it will always stay in my heart." I said turning around and walking away.
Nick didn't try to stop me, instead he just sank down to floor, as his emotions overwhelmed him.
Meanwhile , Jessica came frantically running into Brian and Megan's house. "OMYGOD," she screamed .
"WHAT?" They said running up to her.
"Okay Nick and I were well…umm…kissing, and all of a sudden, his Girlfriend comes barging in!" Jessica screamed.
"O-GOD, MANDYS BACK, WHEN, WHY, HOW!"
"Nevermind that, I know that she wasn't taking it to well, and I have a feeling Nick wont either, god, I feel so bad, it really wasn't Nicks fault, I'm the one that kissed him! GOD, IM SUCH AN IDIOT!" Jess said, suddenly feeling really guilty.
Before she knew it, the two were already out the door, and on their way to Nicks. When they walked in the unlocked door, a bewildered look spread across both of their faces.
They found Nick sitting in the entry way clutching the rings Mandy had thrown at him mumbling, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. "
"Nick, What happened?" Megan asked.
"She hates me I'm such a fool!" he said softly.
"No she doesn't come on you've got to find her!"
"Its no use!" "Nick mumbled, rubbing his finger over the inscription of the ring once more.
Suddenly it hit him, Like a ton of bricks. "Wait, WAIT…Together, Forever…ALWAYS! There is hope…oh god I've got to find her, where could she be, WHERE!" he yelled jumping to his feet.
