That night Nick and I made our way out onto the little island we always went to when we took the boat out. "Nick, I have something to talk to you about" I said.
"Really, cause I have something I need to ask you"
"Okay, but I need to go first!" I said.
"Okay go for it!" he replied.
"Okay..ohhh..ummm…IGOTOFFEREDASCHOLARSHIPTOUCLA!" I spit out as I saw Nicks smile quickly fall.
Nick just sat there speechless.
"Nick…please say something …your making me nervous…are you upset?"
"Am I upset… well your gonna move to the otherside of the country, OFCOURSE IM UPSET!" he yelled back.
"Nick, please don't make this any harder then it is, This could be my big break!"
"Your right, I'm sorry, its just that what is that gonna do…to us?"
"Nick, if we were really meant to be together, then we can outwait a long distance relationship, if not…then we'll see, but I love you with all my heart and no matter what I'll never stop!" I said.
Nick sighed and stared down at me then smiled, "Together Forever."
"Always," I finished. We sealed that promise with a kiss…and another…and another…and well you get the idea. I broke away remembering Nick had something to ask me. "So what was it that you wanted to ask me?"
"Uhhhh, nothing." He replied.
Afterwards Nick and I walked back to our apartment after docking the boat. Once inside we went to our rooms and to bed. To be honest I didn't sleep well, and I don't think Nick did either. I was to busy thinking about what I was leaving behind. I was going to miss my best friends wedding.
I told Megan about the scholarship, and she was upset but understood. Though I wasn't too sure about Nick. He was really upset and I knew it. I only had two days left with him, and most of it was going to be spent packing. I couldn't sleep so I quietly got up out of bed and made my way to Nick's room.
I knocked, hoping that he wasn't asleep. "Come in," I heard him say.
Without saying a word I walked over to his bed and laid, closely beside him. He wrapped his arms around me, and kissed the top of my head.
Before I new it I fell into a deep sleep. As I slept Nick thought…about a lot. He was really hurt by the fact that Mandy was leaving him. Things just didn't go the way he wanted them to.
