With the walls of the form completed, you now have to create a handle at the top. The handle is created by forming a solid coil approximately 1" to 1.5" in length and 1" in diameter. The coil must be hollowed out (by pusing finger into coil) so that it will not explode in the kiln during the firing process. Next, the handle must be slipped and scored onto the top of the coiled form (a.k.a. base).
