What is a Spiritreneur?
I adopted this term from Laurie Beth Jones' book, Jesus, Inc. which I am still reading. Must be pretty powerful to adopt into my own lifestyle so quickly, you might say? YES, it is. But it is not new to my thinking, just to my vocabulary.
So...what does it mean?
Do what you love and the money will follow.
A spiritreneur is a person who is fulfilling her God-given potential. That potential may or may not produce an income. But the spiritreneur is so content in her role, any income she does produce is just icing on the cake, so to speak.
God gave me a love and talent for architecture...not only design, but for history, drawing, and appreciation. It is a privelege for me to share it with others in a variety of ways, including this web site and teaching!
I also have a passion for learning. It doesn't matter what! I so enjoy learning web design that it's sometimes difficult to pry myself away from the computer!
This "business" of mine is fulfilling in so many ways. I love to sit at the computer with my first cup of coffee. I love to discover ways that technology can change my way of life. (sometimes it's an improvement, other times not, but it changes my lifestyle regardless!) I love to fit an hour of "work" in while my kids are playing a game in the next room. I love to read and learn about business and the internet and God (not necessarily in that order). I love to think about architecture and the hundreds of ways I can include it in my life! I love to write and express my thoughts and opinions, especially knowing that God programmed me to think and feel exactly like I do.
What Could Be Better Than This?
Only one thing. It can only be better if I can somehow reach others and help them discover this same Spirit-filled life!
