OLD MESSAGE: Hey all! I am now in college! I have gone to good ol' community college for 2 years and now transferred to a much better university. I am gonna major in Art Education and hopefully teach middle school...yes the dreaded age for most people. Well, I am soon going to move into an apartment with my cute puppy, Dr. Pepper on Aug 10. I am soooooooo EXCITED, but sad that I have to leave my family...oh well, thats all for now folks!

I have a TON of hobbies. Activities after school: NAHS (National Art Honors Society). I have been apart of NAHS for 2 years now and am the society's Historian. As the Historian, I take pictures of everything that my group does, i.e., we will be doing face painting at my county's fair, so I will take pictures of my group members painting faces. I am part of mock trial too. Mock trial is lots of fun. In mock trial we are in a court case against another school and we each play a roll in the case, i.e., there are three lawyers and three witnesses for each side, (prosecution and defense). When we play another school, one of our teams, i.e., the prosecution would play against the defense of the other school. I am also apart of my school's orcestra which was invited to play at the Kenedy Center in the District of Colombia last year. At Festival (a place where my group goes and plays musical pieces to see how good we are, not only are we graded on our groups selected pieces, but we also play a "sight reading" piece, where we are put in a place where we have not ever seen the peice before, but must play it as if we had been playing it for years) we got straight "I"'s, which means superior. I play the double stringed bass in my orchestra and have been playing it for seven years now. I also plan on joining Tri-M (an Honor Music Society) and NHS (a National Honor Society, based on good grades and high GPA).

My evening Activities consist of: playing the piano. I have been playing for ten years and have written my own song, but I am not finished yet. Like I stated before, I play the double stringed bass and have been playing for seven years now and am in All County Senior Honor Symphony Orchestra. I have been apart of this orchestra for four years, but I was also apart of the All County Jounior Honor Symphony Orchestra for three years. I am also part of All State Senior Symphony Orchestra for two years now. I also have been participating in girl scouts for eleven years now and have earned my Silver Star and Gold Star Awards. The Gold Star Award in girl scouting is the highest award a girl scout can earn. It is equivalent to a boy scouts eagle award, but don't be fooled, the girl scouts Gold Star Award is MUCH harder to earn. I know this from talking with boy scout leaders and their views on the Gold Star Award and having been through this myself. Also at my Roman Catholic church, I have been an altar server for nine years. My church also has a Sunday like school class on Wednsday for a Confirmation class. I am an advocate (helper) for this class and have been an advocate for four years now.

Some things that I just like to have fun with is art. I am very artisitc and love to paint. My favorite media is oil painting. I have been painting for nine years and have my own business teaching art. Right now I have a student who is 13 and her name is Holly. Since I have been painting, I have painted close to one-hundred paintings, not just in oil though. I also paint with acrylics, and water color too. And yes, I have just begun another business of selling my art work. I also love music and like I said above, have been playing the piano for ten years and write my own music and have been playing the double stringed bass for seven years. I love small instruments too. I have two clarinets, (one is broken though), two recorders, a bear whistle, harmonica, wooden flute, tin flute, train flute, miniture accordion, lap harp, xylophone, keyboard, I have just about every instrument you can think of. Also I forgot to mention that I babysit sometimes and write lots of poetry too. And yes, out of all of this, and I still have plenty of time to hang out with friends.
