Use Claris Home Page to Add Information 

#1 Using Page Headings

Type in the title of your classroom Web page (For example: Miss Smith's First Grade).

Highlight the title and choose Heading 1 from the Format menu.

Type a subheading for the list you are about to create (For example: First Grade Activates or Daily Schedule).

Highlight the subheading and choose Heading 2 from the Format menu.

    Note: You will probably use a number of subheadings to divide each separate section of your page.

#2 Using a Bulleted List

Type a list under your subheading about your class

Highlight your list and choose Bullet List from the Format Window.

Add to your existing list by clicking at the end of the last entry word and hit enter and continue typing.

Save your Work! Pull file down to Save the changes you have added.

#3 Creating Horizontal Rules

Add a rule to your page to emphasize or separate information.

Choose Horizontal Rule from the Insert menu.

Or Insert a rule as a graphic file found on the internet.

    Tip: These rules are available for use on-line. To download image, click on the image with your right mouse button and hold down, choose Save Image As from the dialog box and save it in your name folder. Do not change the file name.

    1. The Wizard in Netscape (click start and pull down to chose a horizontal rule style).

    3. Icons and Stuff (Click on Bars under images to go to the rules).
Choose Image from the insert menu.

In the dialog box choose the name of your rule image.

Choose Alignment to center the rule on your page.

Close the dialog box, your rule should appear on your page.

#4 Creating and Formatting Tables

Create a class schedule of daily events (opening, music, art, PE, library etc.).

Choose Table from the Insert menu.

In the Table Object Editor choose 6 rows and 2 columns.

Close the Table Object Editor.

Click the upper handle of the first cell in the table and drag it to the edge of the table, the row will be highlighted.

In your cells, type the class schedule.

Save your work.
