What you need for this tutorial:
1. PSP 7 (This was written using PSP 7, but I'm sure it can be modified for any version.)
2. Rorshack Filters
3. Lokas Drop Shadow
4. A custom brush of your choice
5. Tube of your choice
STEP 1
Open a new transparent image 400 X 400.
STEP 2
Click on your preset shapes tool and select the rounded rectangle. In tool options make sure antialias is checked and set your line width to 5. Make sure your stroke is white or any light color and fill is off in the color palette. Put your cursor at 200 X 200. Hold the right click button on your mouse and make your rectangle. Doing it this way centers your image.
STEP 3
With your magic wand, click on the line, Effects > Plugins > Rorshack Filter with the default settings. Selections > None.
STEP 4
Use your magic wand and click on the center. Add a new raster layer. Selections > Modify > Contract 5. Flood fill with white or the same light color you used before. Apply the Rorshack Filters with the default settings again. Selections > None. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
STEP 5
Apply and inner bevel of your choosing, just whatever you like :) In the layer palette, reduce your opacity to 65.
STEP 6
Add a new raster layer. Go to your paint brush, choose your custom brush. Pick a color that compliments your tube. Set your brush cursor at 200 X 200, apply your brush. Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow with these settings:
H & V: 2
Opacity: 100
Blur: 5
Color: Black
Go to your layer palette and reduce the opacity to 40. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
