Biography

After graduating from Roxbury High School in Succasunna, New Jersey Sarah moved to NYC, New York and is currently attending Fordham University at Lincoln Center as a performance major. Now already in her second semester sophomore year, she has participated in the "blackbox" studio productions as a light coordinator, working on shows such as "Wasp", "Duets", and mainstage productions of "King Lear", "Romeo and Juliet", "Mad Forest" and many others. She has performed in such plays as, "Stop Kiss"- Sara, "Necessary Targets"- J.S., "Vera"- Sophie, as well as many staged readings.

Sarah directed a production of "The Lottery" which performed at the Bucks County Play Festival. She is an alumni of The Centenary Young Performers' Workshop where, under the direction of Broadway and film actor Michael Blevins, she performed in 36 shows over the course of four years. She is renowned for her performance as Nettie in "The Subject Was Roses". She has also portrayed such roles as Judy Turner in "A Chorus Line", Vera in "Mame", and of course Dolly in "Hello Dolly". Other productions include "Camelot", "How To Succeed....", "Fiddler on the Roof", and "Anyone Can Whistle".

Coming from an extensive dance background she was a principal dancer in "An American Sampler: 100 Years of Broadway Dance" at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center for their state-wide Theatre Academy program. She also portrayed 'Miss Madurga' in "Cold Storage" with the Centenary Stage Company, a professional Equity theatre in residence at Centenary College. Upon completion of her studies Ms. Bell plans to persue a career in the performing arts and lighting design.
