Last Wishes That Might Have Been

What if Last Wish was clearly inspired by Frank Miller's Sin City? Or was a poor imitation of the visual stylings of Charles Burns? We'll never know, thanks to the fact that such early attempts at a "serious" comic never got off the ground and exist now only as half-hearted layout ideas and pinups. Presented here is a collection of drawings & notes that shed light on the primordial stirrings of the tale almost a dozen or so people are following right now. I can't stress enough: these pictures do not represent the actual way Last Wish will develop, and are offered to the reader merely as "entertainment". With that in mind - cast your mind back, back to the days when grunge was king, Ghost World was only a gleam in Dan Clowes' eye, and I had even less of an idea what the hell I was doing with a pencil and paper....

NEW - Cut Pages of Last Wish

While much of the final comics appears as intended, there are always scenes or portions of scenes that are left out of the finished product. These pages tend to slow the story down somehow, usually by emphasizing people or events that aren't crucial to the fundamentals of the story. Collected here for the first time anywhere are three scenes that were dropped from the initial runs of issues one and two of Last Wish.
