Initially Moe was to bump into a guy from his video project, then find Mark - also the conversation with Mark and Lynn went on for a few more pages. An even longer scene was scripted but not drawn, where Moe got drunk and belligerent before leaving for Nicole's. While it's nice for the main story to take place in a fleshed-out world, I think if left alone this scene would have had too many trivial details.
