When you decide that this is the subject for you, you can continue to full A level (at no extra charge and provided that your timetable allows it) just by saying so. In the second year you would go on to study three more modules - Roman Epic, more tragedy and more Art and Architecture.

Advanced Subsidiary

AS is available to any student, whether first, second, or third year. It is a one year course and is exactly half of the A level syllabus. Students work for one year to complete THREE topic modules - namely Homer and Tragedy and Art

And the picture? This is the sanctuary of Olympia. You can see remains of the Temple of Hera beyond the wall. In the Museum at Olympia there is the head of the cult figure of Hera and it shows a somewhat unattractive lady. No wonder Zeus was always playing the field.
