The Young Performers' Workshop moves into the 21st Century with confidence based on our enviable redord of achievement and a strong vision for the future to achieve even greater artistic excellence in the arts education community. The YPW understands its task in producing quality arts programs that address the needs of the emerging professional and the student desiring a quality, well-rounded education.

Additionally, the YPW Curriculum helps define the value of the community for all by providing arts experiences that benefit the entire education community and the citizens of Northwestern New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The performing arts, a significant tradition and long-standing discipline generates qualities of creativity and discernment that prompt the development and growth of the whole person. The YPW Curriculum produces transcendent experiences of discovery and expression through its safe, supportive and creative atmopshere and unique dynamic staff of theatre professionals. Through the rigorous rehearsal/production process supplemented by exceptionl classroom training for YPW participants, additional advanced programs for YPW Accelerated Students, and enriching programs for the public shcool system and general public, the YPW nurtures a far-reaching and authentic community of learning.

The YPW program allows students to discover and clarify their artistic objectives, assess their artistic strengths and weaknesses, evaluate past artistic performance and to draw on the YPW program and staff in a manner that reflects and addresses their individual goals and needs.

Effective performers must learn to use and embrace their own bodies, voices and minds. The Young Performers' Workshop experience stresses this awareness as well as the fundamentals of creative expression. Plus, students gain a generous amount of rehearsal and performance experience under the guidance and direction of theatre professionals.
