Chapter 3
~*~*~*~*~ 3 Years Later~*~*~*~*~
Jessica was sitting in her bunk listening to the new Blink 182 CD. She kind of wanted the rest of the world to leave her alone for a while. When she first went on tour with the guys she could tell they were a little irritated that she had come. But they did there best to not let that show. But lately they had been short tempered with her. She didn't know what she did to make them so angry but whatever it was she was going to find out soon enough.
"Jess where are you?" Kevin yelled as he entered the bus with the rest of the guys.
"In my bunk!" She yelled back.
"Can you come in here a minute we need to talk." This worried her a bit too much for comfort. He sounded serious when he said this. As she entered the room she noticed all the guys in there.
"Jess this will be hard on you I know. We have all loved having you here. But its becoming harder and harder to keep the press away. People are starting to suspect some things. And we need you to go back to your foster parents in Maine."
"When does my plane leave? ANd how long do I have to pack?" Jessica answered calmly with no expression what so ever on her face.
"Huh?" They alled said in unison. They were conufed by her behavior. They were expecting a fit. A cry. A scream. Anything but nothing.
"When does my plane leave and how much time do I have to pack?" She repeated a once more but a little louder. At saying this she looked at all the guys then back to Kevin.
"Um we havent really planned that far ahead."
"OK Well is all you wanted to talk about?"
"Yeah I guess" Kevin asked even more confused than before.
"OK Well I'm gonna go listen to my CD and finish some of my homework." After saying this she got up and left the room. Leaving all of them including her in a bewildering daze. After the door shut the guys began talking once again.
"She took that a little too well. I expected her to cry or scream or something." Nick said softly.
"I know what ya mean Nick. Not to be rude or anything but we need to get back to the studio and work on the new album."
"OK Well meet ya there." Howie said.
"K" Soon all the guys had left and Kevin went to check on Jessica her strange behavior had him in a funny daze. He found her in her bunk doing as she said finising her homework and listening to her CD's.
"Jess you ok? Your acting a little strange." Peeking into her bunk she had her face turned away from him.
"I'm fine. Go to rehearsals i have alot more homework to do." Jessica said coldly.
"We'll be back around five and we can talk some more. Bye" Kevin said softly. A litle hurt by her reaction. As soon as Kevin was out of the bus Jessica burst out crying. She had known for awhile now that this news was coming. She had heard Kevin talking about it with Brian sometimes. Brian never did stick up for her or anything. Maybe it was beginning to get harder to keep her a secret. She didn't know. She didn't care either. All she was feeling like now was depressed and alone.
Five minutes after 5 the guys showed up. Jessica was watching T.V. Brian and A.J. decided to watch with her for awhile. As soon as they entered the living room where she was without even looking up she got up and went to her bunk. They were puzzled. But they figured that her reaction to there news was normal and didn't think anything of it afterwards.
"Kevin if you don't mind I would like to head back home as soon as I can get my belonings packed." Kevin looked up at Jessica she was standing in the doorway with her eyes dull and no expression on her face but a tight frown. He didn't notice her come in he had been thinking obviously a little to deep if he didn't hear someone come in. Especially his daughter.
"You sure? You don't have to leave right away."
"No I want to leave as soon as I possibly can. If you don't mind. I should be able to have my things packed in about a day or so."
"Jess whats wrong? We all expected you to throw a fit or cry or something but not with nothing to say at all. Please tell me whats wrong."Kevin asked with concern in his eyes and voice.
"I'm perfecty fine. I've dealt with this my whole life. One more disapointment won't make anything worse or better. I'm going to start packing I'll see ya in the morning." Jessica left the room. Leving Kevin just looking at her. He wasn't sure what to say. He wasn't sure exactly what she had mean't by she'd dealt with this her whle life and that we were a disapointment to her. He decided he had done to much thinking for one night. With him thinking a mile a minute he was beginning to confuse himself. So he decided to sleep on it and talk to Jess more in the morning. Maybe then her would have the solution.

Jessica wasn't up for breakfast. She was still sleeping in her bunk. Kevin hated to wake her for she looked so peaceful so at rest. So he didn't bother her.
