Barney and Mary Britt
I will be adding Britt Family information here - it will be disorganized at first.
Britt, B. B. 40 and Mrs S. E. Scott 44, it seems they took out a marriage license but it wasn't returned and filed in 1890. I don't have the full date. There were several of those that didn't return and file. I don't know if it meant they got it in Baxter and filed it in another county or what. This doesn't make sense with what you said about the 1900 census having a Mary E. as a wife. Was the Mary E. wrong or was there a divorce? Instead of marrying Mrs S. E. he married Mary E. again? Sometime later he finally married S. E. When did Mary E. die? I did not find another marriage for him between 1886-1910. If they lived around the Fluty Cemetery you might have to check over the county line in Fulton or even in MO. Didn't find anything about their deaths in the old Baxter Bulletin newspapers.
