School administrators would also need to preview the site and approve of the content. The web address would be publicized to parents and students and others. After the site was active for a while it should be changed periodically to remain interesting and current. |
| This product would improve learning because it would improve communication between the classroom and the home and allow parents to be more informed about what is happening at school. It also could potentially increase parental support for art in the schools by demonstrating the value of art as an important tool for interdisciplinary studies. |
| This website might be expanded allowing the students to work on the pages and write the text to explain projects they are currently working to complete. In addition, you could add other features such as a place for students to check on their art grade on-line (some grade book software has coded programs for this), or possibly highlighting other areas where the art curriculum supports other subjects such as math (geometry, measurement, line direction) and science (for example concepts such as transparent and opaque). |
