Makes 3 servings (at least what I call servings.)
4 - Cups of milk
8 - Tablespoons of flour
8 - Table spoons of cooking
oil
1/2 - Tea spoon of salt
1 - Tea spoon of black pepper
1/4 - Tea spoon crushed red pepper
12 - Drops of your place setting's color
of food coloring (Be fore-warned, RED
when it thickens up looks like a bowl of congeled BLOOD. Also GREEN
didn't go over with my family very good when I set it down in front of
them. Experment with you family - after all YOU are the chef.)
3 - Cans of biscuits
Heat oil in pan until a pinch of flour will sizzial when you drop it in the pan.
Remove from heat and stir in
the rest of the flour and mix until there are no
lumps. Then pour in the
milk and stir thourghly.
Replace on heat. Add the rest of the ingreadences while stiring.
Then ("STIR CONTINULESLY") scraping
sides & bottom of pan as you do
so, until it starts
to boil. Then the gravy is done. (for thicker gravy, let boil
a bit longer.)
As for the biscuits, follow
the directions on the can. If you put them in the
oven and then start your
gravy, they usually both get done about the same
time.
Then serve on biscuits
- open face style adding more black pepper sprinkled
on top.
