They were constantly warring with C.O.U.S.I.N. F.R.E.D., who recruited the Inferior Five to bring the members of H.U.R.R.I.C.A.N.E. to justice. "Nitro" Gleason captured Merryman and White Feather, putting them in an ineffective deathtrap. Once they escaped the Inferiror Five mopped the floor with H.U.R.R.I.C.A.N.E. and delivered them into police custody. "Crabgrass" Wilde escaped within minutes, leaving the rest of his friends to rot in jail.
