When you get what you want, in your struggle for self And the world say's Your King! for a day: Then go to the mirror, and look for yourself; Just see what that Image has to say.. Who's judgement on you must pass: For it isn't one's Mother, Father or wife The one who's judgement count most, Is the one staring back in the glass.. This is the one to please, Never mind the cost This one is with you, clear up to the end: And you've passed the most difficult test, If the one in the glass is your Friend.. You may be like Jack Horner, and chisel a plum, And the world say you're a wonderful Guy; But the one in the glass say's your only a Bum: If you can't look me straight in the Eye.. You may fool the whole world, down the pathway of years, And get pats on your back as you pass; But your only reward will be heartaches & Tears, If you've cheated the one in the glass.. ~Author unknown~
