Why do I receive the error "The page
cannot be displayed" or other blank page?
The server is either full or off. Download through the website
won't work at all since too many try to get in. You would end up
with an error page.
What is a better way to
download?
Use a program such as GetRight. This program lets you resume
downloads if connection is lost. Copy & Paste the links to the
program.
Or you can set GetRight to catch clicks: meaning
when you click on a link, Getright will pop up and you can save
from there. In order to set up Getright for this option, follow
these steps:
- Click on "Getright Configuration" under "Options."
- Choose "Monitor" under "General."
- Check the boxes starting with "Monitor clicks in...."
If this still not working, re-install Getright. When installing,
choose the Custom installation option. It will ask you about clicks
or monitor within browser or some like that. Just check all of them.
Once you get the link to Getright, the download
won't always start due to server's user limit. If you receive the
message "server is busy," that means the limit is reached. Notice
that it will re-connect in 60 seconds by default. To have a better
chance to get in, you need to set it to re-connect in 30 seconds.
(Warning: If you set it below 30 seconds, you'll be blocked
for more than 6 hrs. This is to prevent spamming.) If you can leave
the computer on all day, you sure can start a download. Good luck.
