The sun rose in the sky, bathing the earth in its warm morning glow. Winter had finally come to an end and birds were chirping harmoniously. Spring was here. The vegetation was lush and green again and flowers littered the world. It was truly peaceful.
"Gnnn…" Vejita voiced through clenched teeth. The talent of Kakarotto’s mouth always amazed him. The prince had just recently woke to the feeling of a warm tongue on his manhood. Next thing he knew Kakarotto was giving him heart-throbbing pleasure.
Goku rubbed his large hands up from Vejita’s thighs to his waist, rubbing back down until they rested on his hips. The urge to taste his prince that morning had been strong and he hadn’t even thought of ignoring it.
"Ah…" Vejita gasped as his seed spilled forth in the warm mouth only to be quickly swallowed.
Goku pulled back slowly, licking his lips to make sure he hadn’t missed one tasty drop. He then moved up beside his mate, looking down in the inky depths of the prince’s eyes.
"Mornin’." He chimed.
Vejita smirked, almost a smile, "Good morning… Nnn…" he whispered, his words transforming into a soft groan as he lifted his head, kissing Kakarotto’s flavored lips.
Goku slowly lowered himself until his chest rested against Vejita’s. He let his mind wander as their tongues battled. Goku loved every second he spent with the prince more than the last, but the past few weeks had been hard. He voiced his love a lot less often, trying his best not to push Vejita into confessing his own love. Of course, he could feel the immense amount of emotion the prince had for him through the bond, but he wasn’t sure if it was love. He wanted to hear it… He needed to hear it.
"Be patient." Goku thought, trying his best to push the thoughts from his mind.
Vejita gently pulled back, sitting up in bed, "Patient about what?" he asked curiously, narrowing his eyes.
"Uh… Nothing. I was talkin’ to myself." Goku said, somewhat surprised.
"Hn." Vejita said, suddenly out of the mood. Kakarotto was hiding something from him. He could feel a bit of confusion, but he still couldn’t feel exactly what there was confusion about.
"I didn’t know you could read my thoughts." Goku said, also sitting up, resting his head on Vejita’s shoulder.
"Only whenever you’re talking to yourself like that… When you’re thoughts form words in your head." Vejita explained, thinking the words in his own mind.
Goku’s features lit up with surprise and happiness, "The bond is getting stronger then?" Goku said.
"Hn." Vejita voiced without even parting his lips, glancing to his mate. The man was pure honest innocence. He wanted him and needed him and eventually would love him; he just didn’t know how to say it. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the phone ringing.
Krillin tapped his left temple lightly, trying to think if he’d left anyone out.
"What are you doing?" Number Eighteen questioned, stepping through the kitchen.
"Huh? Oh, Meijin Roshi asked me to call everyone and let them know that he’s having a little reunion…"
"Here?" Eighteen interrupted.
"Yeah, why?" Krillin questioned, hanging the phone back up when he came to the realization that he’d called everyone.
"I’m not going to be surprised if Goku, Vejita, and Chi-Chi have a fight… We’ll be lucky if the island doesn’t get blown off the face of the Earth." The fair blonde said, running a hand through her hair before stepping out of the small room.
"Bye, Mom, Dad." Bulma called as she headed out the door.
"Have fun, honey!" Mrs. Briefs called.
Bulma hopped in her white aircraft, slowly lifting into the air before blasting off for Meijin Roshi’s island. She’d gotten a call from Krillin only a week ago… Seemed that the old turtle hermit thought he could do a better job at having a reunion. Of course, he was probably right, but only because he had large quantities of beer at his reunions that helped to calm everybody’s nerves. Chuckling, Bulma pressed a small red button on the control panel, causing the aircraft to accelerate into turbo-speed.
Krillin patted his daughter’s blonde-haired head, "Marron, say hi to Bulma."
"Bulma." The toddler repeated, grinning from ear to ear.
"So, where’s everyone else?" Bulma questioned, pressing a pad-like button on her aircraft, causing it to return to its capsule form.
"They said they’d be here." Krillin said, watching as Bulma put away the small white capsule.
"Jita, I think we should tell them." Goku said as they sped through the air.
"They should know by now… We haven’t been exactly hiding it." Vejita said, glancing at Kakarotto.
"Yeah, but I think we should kinda announce it… So they don’t have ta be unsure."
"Hn. Whatever." Vejita said, smirking as Kakarotto bumped into him lightly, desperate for closeness.
Goku wanted so desperately to touch the prince… It helped to calm him and drive away all the things that were bugging him at the back of his mind. Then, Goku got an idea; he knew that many Ningen held hands…
Vejita glanced at the man beside him again when he felt Kakarotto’s hand press gently against his shoulder, rubbing down his arm until they were holding hands. Vejita couldn’t help but chuckle… The prince of all Saiyajin was holding hands like some romantic dope. Suddenly, he sensed Kakarotto's insecurity, most like caused by his outburst. He reassured the younger man by tightening his grip on the larger hand, pleased when he felt Kakarotto’s mind calming.
Goku smiled. It was a strangely wonderful feeling to have his prince’s firm grip on his hand. No wonder others did it. At that moment Goku let all his worries fade away. It didn’t matter if Vejita didn’t want to voice his love. It didn’t matter if Vejita even loved him or not. As long as they were both happy and together.
"Looks like everyone’s here." Krillin said, leaning back in the plastic white lounge chair, smiling at his beautiful wife from across the small yard.
"Nope. Goku and Vejita aren’t here." Roshi said, sipping hungrily at his first beer.
Krillin, Number Eighteen, Marron, Meijin Rosh, Oolong, Turtle, Puar, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Ox King, Chi-Chi, Gohan, Videl, Goten, Trunks, Bulma, and Piccolo were all there, sitting at either the large picnic table or in lounge chairs gathered around the wooden picnic table. Every now and then Chi-Chi and Bulma retired to the pink house’s small kitchen. They were cooking up a large quantity of seafood and hamburgers, Chi-Chi’s suggestion since not everyone liked seafood.
"So, Videl, how long have you and Gohan been going out?" Krillin asked with a sly look on his face.
Videl blushed. She wasn’t used to such outgoing people. She was Gohan’s age with black, cropped off hair, and blue eyes.
"Krillin, you’re embarrassing me!" Gohan said through clenched teeth, causing many of the others to burst out in laughter.
"Hey, there’s Dad!" Goten exclaimed, bouncing in his seat.
Everyone turned their attention to the sky to see their best friend holding hands with Vejita. That’s when all of their speculating was confirmed. There was no doubt now that Goku and Vejita were a couple, but who was going to be the first one to say anything about it? None of them felt like risking their lives with the wrathful prince.
"Hi, guys!" Goku said, his hand slipping from Vejita’s as they landed.
"Hey, Goku. Long time no see." Yamcha said through a half-hearted smile.
Goku could see everyone’s uneasiness, "Okay, guys… We got somethin’ ta tell ya."
Vejita crossed his arms, looking off to the side to avoid any strange stares.
Goku smiled lightly, it was obvious that Vejita wasn't going to help him out any, "See, Jita and I bonded… It’s a Saiyajin thing… It’s kinda like bein’ married."
Eyes were wide with the announcement, but soon, everyone was trying there best to smile, giving awkward congratulations.
Chi-Chi sat quietly. She didn’t understand why they had to even come. Of course, she’d told herself that she was over it, but at the moment she felt far from it. Plus, the anger she’d felt after the Capsule Corp. party was returning.
"I don’t get it." She said quietly, but loud enough for everyone to hear.
"What?" Bulma asked, looking to her friend.
"I don’t understand why you’re even here." She said a little louder this time, looking up at Goku, directing the statement to him.
"Mom, please…" Gohan said. He felt that his father finally announcing he and Vejita’s relationship was a good thing, but it was obviously causing his mother to return to her stressed out anger.
"Uh… Krillin called and…" Goku began, trying to explain his presence.
Vejita felt anger welling in himself as well. Why did this woman insist on causing trouble? The only thing her yelling accomplished was to make his mate feel sad, worthless, and responsible for things that were completely out of his hands.
"No… I mean… After what you did to me… To your sons… You shouldn’t have even showed up!" Chi-Chi yelled, rising from her seat in anger.
"Here we go again." Roshi muttered, not even trying to calm the woman down this time.
Goku didn’t understand. Chi-Chi seemed to be hurt deeply by his actions, but he’d done nothing to her. She’d been unhappy with them together. Him leaving her couldn’t have been that bad. If anything it should have made her happy. The last couple of times he saw her it seemed as if she were on the verge of getting over it all. Now they were back at square one… Yelling and screaming.
Vejita stepped forward. He could feel the intense amount of guilt coming from his mate, and he’d had enough of it.
"Woman, you’re asking for death." He growled quietly.
"Jita, please…" Goku said, hoping to calm his prince.
"No!" Vejita said, much louder this time.
"I accept this relationship… But the two of you should know better than to behave this way in front of the children. The last thing they need is ideas in their heads." Chi-Chi said, a bit quieter this time, somewhat afraid of Vejita’s wrath.
"Are you so blind, woman? Goten and Trunks are practically destined to be together! The brats have been all over each other since birth… Mainly because they were thrown together by their mothers!" Vejita said, amused by the woman’s open-mouthed shock. His announcement caused the two boys to burst out in laughter.
"No… This is crazy." Chi-Chi muttered, realizing that Vejita’s words were true. Why had she gotten so upset anyway? What was this proving? That she was insane? She was over Goku. So, what was the problem?
Goku could see the confused, hurt look on his ex-wife’s face. This was too much; it was all too much. Without saying a word, he retreated into the house. He could hear Bulma’s footsteps following closely behind his.
Vejita growled. This was so hard for his sensitive mate. Without saying another word, he sat between Piccolo and Gohan, slouching somewhat.
Chi-Chi sat as well, "I’m sorry… I just… I don’t know what came over me." She whispered, feeling her father’s large hand gently pat her back.
Vejita answer with a simple, "Hn."
