PROLOGUE

A long time ago there was a super powerful race known as the Saiyans. They lived on the Planet Vegita, far away from our own Planet. One day, the most feared warrior throughout the galaxy came to Planet Vegita. This warrior and conqueror's name was Freeza. Freeza made a deal with the Saiyans, and used them as planetary conquerors. Despite Freeza's vastly greater power, he knew that one day the Saiyans could become a threat, so he decided to destroy them. Everyone on the planet was killed including the ruler of the Saiyans, King Vegita. However, There were 4 Saiyans that were not on the planet during its destruction. One was King Vegita's son, who was just a boy. Another was an infant, who was sent to Earth, and would eventually become known as Goku... our planet's greatest champion.

Goku's father, Bardock, joined many Saiyans in an attempt to thwart Freeza's attack on their homeworld. Unfortunately, Bardock was not an exceptional warrior, and he was easily beaten. But Bardock did have the power to glimpse into the future. As he died, he saw many years into the future... a vision of his son, Goku, confronting the vile Freeza. Bardock died with a smile......
