Summary-

As we begin we see an outside few of Planet Vegeta. The narrator explaisn that Kakarotto has just been born. Cut to title screen. We're then switched to Planet Kanassa, where Bardock's team is stomping the Kanassians into the ground, figuratively speaking. But then one of the Kanassian shoots Panbukin in the face, and then DOES get stomped into the ground. They continue fighting and then in the next scene it's morning again. Bardock and the others are sitting down in a crater discussing the past battle. Seripa brings up Bardock's new child's brith celebration, and Bardock says he's not going to have one and that the scientists can do what they want with him. Then in a pile of rubble, one last surviving Kanassian by the name of Tooro jumps out and charges at Bardock. Just before he hits, he disappears and reappears behind him and pokes him in his neck. Panbukin kicks him into the crater wall, however, and Tomar blasts him with a ki blast. Bardock then gets up, but then Tooro's spirit appears before him and tells him that he is now cursed to be able to see the future. Bardock takes out his spirit with a ki blast, but then he faints. Cut back to Vegeta, where Prince Vegeta is getting ready to fight some Saibamen. When they charge him, he powers up really fast and knocks them into the walls. He then dispatches them with ki blasts all around. The scientists watching are amazed, but Nappa (with hair!) says that Vegea could take on 100 of them easily. Nappa meets Vegeta on the outside and they get on the conveyor belt down to Freeza's chamber. Vegeta explains to Nappa that he's going to ask to go on the next planet takeover mission. Cut to Freeza's chambers. Zarbon informs Freeza that Kanassa has been taken by some low-level Saiya-jins. Dodoria and Zarbon get into a conversation about how the Saiya-jins are strong, and could be become a problem if they began banding together and rebelling. Then Vegeta comes in and Zarbon stops him. He explains that he was going to ask Freeza if he could go on the next takeover mission, and right when Zarbon gets ready to send him on his way back, Freeza approves and tells him to do a good job.

Cut to Bardock's healing tank. Tomar and the others are waiting outside, but they decide to not wait any longer and go on to Planet Meet without Bardock. Cut back to the healing tank. Kakarotto begins crying in his tank and Bardock's mind suddenly goes nuts and a weird dream sequence occurs. He sees Kakarotto's future as is shown by clips from DB. Then Bardock's tank is drained and Bardock gets out. He gets dressed and explains that he had a weird dream. He asks where Tomar and the others went, and one scientist explains that they went to Planet Meet. Bardock thinks he can still catch them and runs down the hallway, but then runs by his crying son. He stops and looks at him and sees a glimpse of Vegeta's destruction. He gets a power reading off of Kakarotto and it reads out to only 2. Cut to a scene of Tomar and the others being beaten up by some of Dodoria's cronies and himself. Tomar talks to Dodoria a moment, and then Dodoria explains that Freeza wants the Saiya-jin race exterminated. Tomar is in shock but then Dodoria uppercuts him away. Bardock has just landed and sees that Tomar and the others have already started. He goes off to the power level he saw on his scouter, but seen he's comrades all over the place. Tomar calls him over to him and he explains that Freeza has betrayed the Saiya-jins and is now out to kill them all. Tomar says for Bardock to get out of there and warn the others at Vegeta. Then, Tomar dies in Bardock's hands. He takes his bandages off Tomar's left arm and douses it in Tomar's blood. He looks at all of his fallen friends. The bandage is all red now. Dodoria's cronies show up and Bardock ties the bandage around his head. He charges at the cronies.

Bardock takes out the purple octopus guy first. Then he grabs the bearded human like lackie and strangles him from behind. Then the one cronie with horns thinks that he sees Bardock, and he fires at the shadowy figure, but it ends up being another cronie and he kills him off for Bardock. Bardock tosses away the one guy he strangled and then faces off against the horned guy. The red afro, purple suit lackie doesn't know how he's able to beat them. They charge forward, as does Bardock, but Bardock stops as he sees another vision of his son in the future. He's then double team by the two remaining guys, but then flips the green one over him and the horned guy punches through him. Then Bardock uses a decent ki blast to kill off the horned guy. Dodoria then shows up and uses a massive mouth blast on Bardock. Dodoria leaves, thinking the job is done on Meet. Bardock is still alive though, and he makes it back to his capsule. We then see a scene where the scientists are getting ready to ship Kakarotto to Earth. Cut to Freeza's chambers Dodoria returns and is informed that he has failed by letting Bardock leave. Freeza says it's alright though, as they'd all be exterminated still. Bardock passes Freeza's ship, and then passes his own son's capsule headed for Earth. Bardock crawls out and rests for a moment while talking to some guards. He then realizes that Vegeta is going to be destroyed. He begins climbing the stairs to the Saiya-jin chambers and falls down. He has another vision of Kakarotto's future. Bardock then gets up after the vision is over and continues to the Saiya-jin lounge.

Cut to the Saiya-jin lounge. Bardock enters and every crowds around him sort of. Bardock explains that Freeza is comign to kill them all. He explains about Tomar and the others and how he plans on destroying the planet. The Saiya-jins just laugh at Bardock though. They don't believe him. He yells at them "ASSHOLES! I don't need any of you! You can all goto Hell!" The Saiya-jins still laugh and make jokes. He runs up the stairs and finds him on Namek. He sees Kakarotto. He then awakens again and continues up and out. He looks in the sky and sees Freeza's ship coming. He then becomes determined to change the future. He flys up and out of the atmosphere towards Freeza's ship. Freeza then deploys all his troops upon seeing Bardock coming. Bardock just keeps moving and plows through them all. Freeza then comes out of the top of his spaceship in his flying chair. Freeza then charges a ki blast with one finger. Bardock fires a ki blast at him, but Freeza laughs and makes his death ball grow large and absorb it. He then fires the Death Ball at Bardock and towards Vegeta. He then realized that his son is supposed to be the avenger of the Saiya-jins, not him... he tells Kakarotto that telepathically. Vegeta is contacted by Nappa, and is told that Vegeta has been destroyed. Vegeta could care less. Cut to Earth and we see Son Gohan finding Kakarotto and naming him Son Goku. Still frame out of Son Gohan holding the newly named Son Goku.

Battles-

Bardock's Team vs. the Kanassians
The Kanassians are at a huge disadvantage from the get go as they're fighting 5 Oozaru Saiya-jins. They start out by attempting to blast Bardock, but to no avail. Tomar steps in and blast them all with a Mouth Blast. Then It's Panbukin who gets surprise attack by some Kanassian fruit. Panbukin just stomps him into the ground. We cut to an upward look at the moon and we can hear the Kanassian screaming. Then we pan out to a view of the planet and we can see that the Saiya-jins have obviously just won the battle. Winner: Bardock Team

Bardock, Tomar, and Panbukin vs. Tooro
We first see Tooro emerge from the rubble. He charges towards Bardock, and he gets ready, but then Tooro disappears and reappear behind him with a jab to Bardock's neck. Bardock falls over. Tooro flips around backside to the others, and Panbukin steps in and kicks him in the crater wall. Tomar finishes the job with a ki blast. Tooro's spirit remains though, and after he says a few things, Bardock takes him out with a ki blast. Winner: The Bardock-Tachi

Prince Vegeta vs. the Saibamen
We first see the Saibamen surround Vegeta. They begin lunging at him, but he just dodges them effortlessly. Then, when they try to sack him, he explodes his ki all around him and knocks them all into the wall. He takes them all out after that with a ki blast to each. Winner: Vegeta

Tomar, Seripa, Toteppo, and Panbukin vs. Dodoria and his cronies
We don't see much of this fight... but I think it's kind of obvious that Dodoria-tachi won this pretty effortlessly... Winner: Dodoria and his cronies

Bardock vs. P.Squid, Horn Man, Greenfro, and Masked Muscle
(Note: These guys don't really have names, I just labelled them with names that describe them somewhat) It starts off with Bardock charging forward. The 4 cronies jump up and behind Bardock. P.Squid counter the charge in the hair with some Renzoku Ki Blasts, but Bardock avoids it and takes out P.Squid with a double ax-handle. Horn Man, Greenfro, and Masked Muscle try to hit him with a ki blast all at the same time, but miss. Bardock gets a choke hold on Masked Muscle and the other two wonder where Bardock went. Horn Man sees a silhouette in the clouds, and fires a ki blast at it. Rather than Bardock, he's just taken out Masked Muscle! Bardock and the other two take a small 5 second pause, but then Bardock charges forward. Suddenly he's stunned by a vision. That leaves him open to Horn Man's knee to the face. Greenfro catches him and then Horn Man punches him in the stomach. He's punched repeatedly in the face by Horn Man, but then he flips Greenfro over his head and into Horn Man's incoming punch. Horn Man kills off Greenfro himself, and then Bardock gets back takes out Horn Man with a decent sized ki blast. Winner: Bardock

Bardock vs. Dodoria
Very short... Bardock notices Dodoria standing there, and then Dodoria hits Bardock with a huge mouth blast. End of the match... Winner: Dodoria

Bardock vs. Freeza's 10,000s of space cronies
It starts off by one of Freeza onboard lackies reporting Bardock flying towards the ship at a high speed. Then begins the fight. At first, a small group of 20 tries to take him out with a converged ki blast. No dice, and he elbows one of them in the face on the way up and out. Next comes many assorted flying cronies. He dodges the first one, kicks the next out of the way, then dodges a ki blast from someone else. He takes that guy out with his own ki blast, and then kicks another cronies out of his way. More of them are incoming... and they all converge on him as for trying to stop him from gaining anymore distance in on the ship. Bardock uses a ki blast to escape that situation, and then begins just literally plowing through the rest of the cronies. They then try the converge on him and sack him technique AGAIN and it resolved using the same method: ki blast. A few manage to hang on this time however. After Freeza comes out to fight, however, everyone else releases him. The 10,000s of space cronies failed, and Bardock reached Freeza... so... Winner: Bardock

Bardock vs. Freeza
And it's here that Bardock's lucky streak runs out. Freeza comes out, and begins charging a Death Ball on one finger. Bardock charges up one powerful ki blast and launches it at Freeza, but his Death Ball just absorbs it. Freeza then throws his Death Balls towards Vegeta, and coincidentally at Bardock, which it hits and kills. Unanimous decision... Winner: Freeza

Characters-

Bardock: The father of Raditsu and Kakarotto. He's a low-class fighter who is on a takeover team comprised of Tomar, Toteppo, Panbukin, Seripa, and himself. On his mission to Planet Kanassa he recieves the curse of seeing the future. He's then nearly killed on Planet Meet with his comrades by the hands of Dodoria. He survives though, and returns to Vegeta, where he tries to warn everyone, but they laugh at him. He then tries to kill Freeza himself, but is killed himself by Freeza's Death Ball.

Toteppo: The big, darker colored member of Bardock's team. He doesn't say anything, I don't think. He dies on Planet Meet at the hands of Dodoria and his cronies.

Panbukin: The fatty member of Bardock's team. In the opening, he's wounded on his face by a Kanassian, whom he promptly squishes. He also helps out Bardock at various points. He dies on Planet Meet at the hands of Dodoria and his cronies.

Seripa: The female member of Bardock's team. The only pure female Saiya-jin we ever see with a main part. She talks with Bardock at various points in the special. He dies on Planet Meet at the hands of Dodoria and his cronies.

Tomar: The member of Bardock's team that has no real defining characteristics other than the fact that he wears a white bandage on his left arm. He's also Bardock's best friend. He's sort of the second in command on Bardock's team. Tomar is the only person that Bardock gets to talk to on Planet Meet, as he dies on Planet Meet at the hands of Dodoria and his cronies.
