One summer night I was on the internet looking through a few Supreme Kai websites when I looked over towards the clock and finally noticed the time.
"11:07! Three hours couldn't have past that fast!" I whined. " Well, I'd better get off this computer before Mom throws a tantrum about why I'm not in bed yet."
I turned off the computer and walked down the hall towards my room. I stepped inside and closed the door behind me and got into bed. I laid there thinking about how nice it would be if the world of Dragon Ball Z really existed. Fast minutes later I was fast asleep. (Donicka [Du ne ca] didn't know yet that her dream was about to come true.)
Thump. Thump. Thump. The sound of footsteps woke me from my peaceful slumber. I looked over at the digital clock on my nightstand: 12:39. I wonder who that could be. Noone stays up this late not even my brother, I thought.
"Is she in there?'' said a voice that sounded like Krillin's. "Yeah, but I'm sure she's asleep. Let's go in there, get her, and get out of here," said another voice.
Wait a minute, that sounds like Goku and the other voice sounded like Krillin's. What the heck is going on? Are my brothers playing a joke on me or am I losing it! I've got to get out of this house before those people try to kidnap me, I thought. I quickly and quietly got out of the bed, grabbed my bookbag crepted towards the open window. Cautiously, I climbed out of the window towards the ladder right next to it. I never knew why the ladder was placed next to my room, but thank goodness it there right then. When I reached the top I pulled the ladder onto the top of the roof so the intruders wouldn't be able to come after me. Who are those guys, I kept thinking to herself. Why in the world did they sound like Goku and Krillin? Is this a dream? How many intruders are there at my home? Why do they want to kidnap me? Do I have something they want? Were they trying to take me to some certain place I need to be? Am I an alien? Are they trying to kidnap me to make me realize something? Questions filled my head faster than I could even answer them. I finally gained courage to look down next to my window and if they were trying to come up after me if they knew where I was.
I peered over the edge of the roof: nothing. I sighed in relief when suddenly I felt shock of pain in my neck and everything around me faded away as I loss conscious, falling off the edge of the roof.
Chapter 2
Time to Get Ready
"Leave me alone!" I screamed. A little creature you would have easily mistaken for the creature on the Honeycomb commecials came towards me. Only this creature didn't look or was friendly. Its skin was red, its eyes were yellow, and it had seven orange flaming tails coming from its back. Its hands were small and the nails were twice as sharp as a razor. The creature swung its arm and was just about to make contact witn the left side of my when I awoke from the nightmare sweating and thrashing and nearly slapped the poor soul in front of me.
Hey! Watch it! You almost put my eye out!" said a warm and friendly voice just as the being I had not noticed before, sat up next to me. The girl had blue eyes and blonde hair that fell around her face in curls. Her skin was a pale peach sort of color.
"Are you Kokiri?" I asked slowly not wanting to frighten the pretty girl.
She looked at me as a bafled look set upon her face. "How did you know?" she said. "The description you put on your website matches you." "Your... umm... Donicka! Wow! I actually get to meet you after all those e-mails we sent each other," she said as we exchanged a hug.
"You know each other?" said that voice I heard earlier. Both of our heads turn to look at the being which we quickly realized to be Goku. We both knew that we were being rude, but we couldn't help but gawk at him. We looked around the room and sufe enough there was Piccolo, Vegeta, teenage Trunks and Goten, Kibito, Shin, Krillin, and Gohan along with Videl. I finally broke silence saying "Donicka wants everyone to know she's speechless right now." Goku smiled a warm smile. I couldn't do anything but smile back at.
Shin stepped forward and said "Now that you both are awake we can start your training."
"Training?" Kokiri questioned. "Why do WE have to train?"
"You both are Saiyans and we need all the help we can get trying to save the world."
"The Earth." I corrected. Shin made a face at me which I returned when noone but Shin was looking.
"Well, I haven't quite learned your names yet, but I'll train you, with the white, black, and blonde hair," said Goku, putting his hand on my head.
I didn't even react to what he said about my hair. I knew it had to do with being in a different world.
"And I'll train Kokiri," said Gohan.
Kokiri gave Gohan a dreamy look and Gohan blushed. I giggled while Shin and Vegeta let out an annoyed sigh. Videl gave Kokiri the evil eye and looked in my direction as the glare of death set upon my face.
"I'll lead you both to the changing room so you can pick out your clothes." said Goten. He lead us out of the Trunks's room down to the room on the other end of the hall. The walls of the room were painted with a light blue color and the floor was yellow. Lockers covered the wall opposite of the door. Goten walked over to a set of lockers and open two. He pulled out an outfit that looked very much like Goku's but light blue replaced the orange color. The other outfit was a replica Shin's, but without the bluish gray shirt that was supposed to go under the vest. 'I'll take the Shin outfit," said Kokiri. I already knew that she was going to try and impress Shin before the day was over. Goten gave us our clothes and escorted me to another room so I could get dressed. While we walked Goten kept shooting quick glances in my direction. I smiled at him and he blushed. I looked back at Kokiri only to see her standing in the doorway trying her best not to laugh out loud.
After Goten left I hurrily got dressed and stole my way back to Kokiri's room. She had just tied sash around her waist when she looked up and saw me coming. " I was wondering where you were," she said. "Do you really believe what they told us. You know. About us being Saiyans and all?" "Don't have reason not to believe them, but it kinda weird that we are saiyans." I nodded. Just then Goku and Gohan came in and said that if we were ready we could begin our training. Kokiri and I said our good byes and good lucks because we both knew that it would be weeks before we got to see eath other again.
Chapter 3
Training: Week 1
Goku led me to the outside of Capsule Corp. and picked me up. With his arms supporting my legs and back, he flew to an area near his house.
"Donicka, is it?" I nodded. "Well, Shin said you'd be a hard shell to crack, but I think training you should be easy."
"You don't have to worry... much. I take boxing classes." I looked away from him. "I don't know what Shin's problem is, but I'm going to show him that I'm qualified to be a Saiyan and I'm also going to reach the super saiyan level, too."
"That's the kind of spirit you need to train with, Sport."
He landed on the ground. I jumped from his arms and started my stretches.
"Are you ready?" he asked. "Anytime," I replied.
He smiled and came at with a load of punches and kicks. Well at least he could have told me what we were going to do, I thought while dodging the first few punches and kicks. Goku's speed increased. I forced myself to keep up with his speed. After a minute or so the speed I forced myself to go at became natural to me. I'll take him off guard by attacking him, I thought. I grabbed his hands and swung left leg around them. It made contact with the side of his face, but didn't do any damage. I even tried to punch him but Goku caught both of my hands and jammed his knee into my stomach. I screamed out in pain and collasped to the ground, gripping my stomach. DAMN! THAT HURTS! I screamed in my mind.
Goku laugh,"Pretty good for a beginner, Sport. You'll be a first-class Saiyan fighter in no time. Boy, Shin's going to be impressed."
"Why is that?" I asked, managing to speak around the pain.
"Your going to train with him tomorrow and the next two weeks."
I sighed. The thought of being with him for two weeks excited me, but all the same I doubted that everything was going to be great. The next two weeks and six days wouldn't at all be pleasant.
* * * * * * * *
I dreaded having to leave Goku to go and train with Shin. He was so nice. Last night just to make the best of it, I asked Goku if he would teach me how to fly. He was sure happy to do it. I guess he was going to miss me, too, I think. After I learned how to fly Goku taught me some other tricks. He taught me the Kamehameha, Kaio-ken x1, x2, and x3, the spirit bomb, and how to raise and hide my power level. The rest of the night we trained. We had so much fun training that we didn't realize the sun coming up over horizon. Shin was standing near the house watching us train.
"It's time to go," he said, making both Goku and I jump.
I sighed. I hugged Goku and place a kiss on his cheek. "I'll make you proud."
"Try your best to survive, but all the while I want you to try and impress Shin. O.K.?"
"O.K."
I walked towards Shin who had a frown on his face. He must disapproves of my hugging and kissing Goku on the cheek. Well he wouldn't be in this state if he went ahead and trained me from the get go, I thought.
"Are you ready?" I nodded. OMIGOSH! He's even cuter in person. I got to get a picture of him, I thought, smiling all the while. Shin looked at me, disgusted. He quickly hugged me while a flash of light blinded me. The light faded and in my hands was a picture of Shin hugging me, the both of us smiling. I looked up at Shin who was blushing.
"I'm sorry. You really didn't have to do that just then. I was going to wait until we became better friends and-"
"No apologies needed. C'mon. We need to start our training now."
He grabbed my arm. I guess he must have teleported because we weren't on earth anymore. My eyes fell upon the landscape. The sky was painted in a purple color darker than Shin's skin. Moons decorated the sky in a poke-a-dot fashion. The grass was a light green. It was like fantasy that could have never come true, but it was.
"Beatiful." I said.
Shin smiled. "I'm glad you like it. You'll be staying here a while."
"You say that as if it's a bad thing. I'd kill for a planet like this. It's beautiful, quiet, lively, and it belongs to a wonderfully handsome kai."
I cupped my hand over my mouth. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid. I can't believe I actually said that last part. Oh! I hope he wasn't listening. Oh, stop it, Donicka. You know he was listening if you were talking directly to him. I looked over at Shin. He was blushing madly.
" Hehe. Let's forget about what I just said and let's start my training," I said with a shaky that sounded as if I was about to cry.
Shin nodded in agreement. The rest of the week trained. Looks like everything started off O.K. for my first six days with Shin, but I couldn't help wondering what Kokiri was doing all the while.
What happens next? Let's go see!!
