info : Seraphimon is one of the three great angel digimon. After cherubimon was corrupted he emprisoned himself into a barrier of ice on the roof of a castle. He was released from the barrier when the 5 kids pointed their d-tectors at the barrier and let it melt the ice. After a battle with the 5 evil warriors his fractal code was taken and he was turned into a digital egg which was kept by bokomon. When the egg heard kouji's plea for help when fighting duskmon it gave him the power to Fusion evolve and it also gave takuya the power to fusion evolve when fighting Murcuremon, then it hatched into patamon.

She couldn't help the kids directly because she was captured by cherubimon while he was corrupted.

info : Cherubimon is one of the three great angel digimon. Used to be a peace and loving digimon until corrupted by the evil digimon Lucemon. After he was corrupted he caught ohpanimon and put her in emprisonment and seraphimon got away. Cherubimon finds 5 spirits of the legendary warriors earth, steel, wood, water, and darkness and corrupts them into doing his dirty work by stealing fractal codes to unleash lucemon into the digital world again.
