Hamtaro is one of the cutest animes I have ever seen. When ten year old Laura Haruna and her cuddly hamster Hamtaro move to town they are both a little nervous (well, Laura was anyway), but they make some great friends. Hamtaro and some of his new Ham-ham pals decide to clean up Boss' house and make it into a Ham-ham Clubhouse. While their owners are at work or school the Ham-hams sneak out of their cages and go to the clubhouse. They have fun adventures where they do all kinds of things including races, treasure hunts, and helping their owners. While the Ham-hams are having their adventures, Laura and her friends have some pretty exciting adventures of their own.

In Japan Hamtaro is known as Tottoko Hamutaro and is based on the manga by Ritsuko Kawai. It was first aired in July of 2000. In June of 2002 the first 52 episodes of Hamtaro came to the US on Cartoon Network. CN recently started showing the next 52 episodes, yay!
