“Why would Endymion want to kill you?” Selenity asked Wilson.
“I don’t know!” Wilson said.
“Oh no. His voice is fading. It sounds like he’s stopping or something. His voice is getting faint.” Selenity said, a little worried.
“I don’t know why Endymion would want to kill me. I’ve done nothing to hurt him.”
“Did you do something to him?”
“No!! What would I want to do to him? He’s a good friend. Maybe he’s talking about a grudge he had against me in high school. I did give him a hard time then and he always got mad at me, but I thought we worked things out and got over it.” Wilson said.
“I don’t know...” Selenity said.
“Maybe you heard him wrong.”
“No...I heard him say that he wants to kill you.”
“But you said that his voice wasn’t clear, didn’t you?”
“No...I said that he sounded far away.”
“Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. He was so far away that you heard him wrong. That must be it. I sure don’t know why Endymion would want to kill me.”
“Yeah, maybe you’re right.”
“Let’s just have a nice breakfast.”
“Okay.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Selenity and Wilson had finished their breakfast. Selenity went up to her room to get dressed. Wilson went back to his room to try to get some rest. Wilson closed his door tightly. He looked around to make sure that everything was closed. Meanwhile, Selenity had finished dressing. She went down the hallway to Wilson’s room. She was about to call his name when she heard something come from his room. She was about the knock on the door, but instead, the door became ajar. Selenity quietly grasped the doorknob and opened the door a little more. She looked to see what was going on inside his room. She gasped. Wilson had opened a portal!! Selenity was shocked. She wondered where the portal lead to. She wanted to find out for herself, so she decided to follow him. She knew that when you make a portal, it stays open for 30 seconds longer after someone jumps in. She waited for Wilson to jump into the portal. Finally, in he went, into the portal full of blackness. Immediately, Selenity pushed the door wide open and practically dived into the portal. The winds of the portal were strong. They were so strong that the force of the wind and the force of herself falling made it feel like she wasn’t moving at all. Soon, the winds started to die down and she was being lowered to the ground. As soon as Selenity got out of the portal, she followed Wilson. There were many twists and turns and many hallways. She was afraid of getting lost, but she knew that if she let her paranoia get to her, she would definitely get lost. She followed Wilson, but tried to stay out of sight. Finally, she saw light at the end of a long, candle lit hallway. She tiptoed to a corner, where she could stay hidden from view. She began eavesdropping.
“You bastard!! Let me go!!!” At first it sounded like Endymion’s voice, but she wanted to make sure, so she listened more.
“Aww, poor Endymion wants his pretty fiancée back.” Now, Selenity definitely knew it was Endymion.
“What have you done to her?”
“Nothing. Sheesh. Calm down!”
“Excuse me? You want me to calm down? Don’t tell me to calm down!!”
“Okay, then. SHUT UP!!! There! Is that better?”
“Why don’t you shut up?”
“Go ahead. Try and make me.” Endymion tried to grab his neck and choke him, but it was no good. He couldn’t reach. “Good try, but you only had one chance.” Endymion just glared at Wilson, anger and hatred in his eyes. “Well, my time here is done. I better get going.” Selenity heard that he was going to go back to the mansion, so she quickly whispered a duplicating spell. An identical copy of her was now at the mansion, in her room, pretending to get dressed. “I’ll leave you alone now. Don’t worry. I’ll comfort Selenity. By the time I’m finished with you, you’ll only be a distant memory to her. She’ll be mine!!” Wilson said, walking away, laughing evilly. Selenity cast an invisible spell upon herself. While in her invisible spell, she followed Wilson to hear the magic words that opened the portal. She memorized it and went back to the room Endymion was being held in. She released her invisible spell. She walked into the room quietly. She quietly called out Endymion’s name. He looked up. He rubbed his eyes, blinked a couple of times, and took another look at Selenity.
“Selenity? Is that really you?”
“Yes, Endymion. It’s me, Selenity.” She embraced him warmly and kissed his cold lips.
“How did you find me here?”
“I followed Wilson through a portal.”
“You’re so lucky that you didn’t get caught.”
“I know. I’m just glad to know that you’re alive and okay.” She hugged him again. “I can’t believe him. Trapping you in a dungeon like this, trying to take advantage of me. I was right all along.”
“What do you mean?”
“I heard you calling my name earlier and you sounded really far away. At that moment, I was starting to think that you weren’t lost, but you were in another dimension, but gullible me, I believed Wilson and thought that it was my imagination playing tricks on me.”
“Selenity. Never doubt yourself. It’s a good thing you followed him here, or else I wouldn’t have seen you again.” They hugged again. Then, Endymion just realized something. “Selenity!! What about the mansion? What if he sees that you’re not there?”
“Oh, not to worry. Before he left, I cast the duplicating spell on myself, so now, there’s an identical copy of me at the mansion. It’s in our room, pretending to get dressed.”
“That’s my Selenity. Always thinking smart.” He quickly kissed her. “Now, to get me out of here. Here’s the plan. You help me unlock these chains, then you go back up to the mansion and distract Wilson. Then, I’ll open up the portal, get to the mansion, then attack Wilson from behind and get rid of him once and for all.”
“I have a better plan.”
