“...Until you have an engagement party!”

“Max! Liz! What are you guys doing here? How’d you get in?” Endymion asked.

“There’s something called a spare key!” Max answered. Liz giggled. Selenity giggled. Soon, everyone burst out laughing.

“Come on guys. Let’s go to the living room” Endymion said. He took Selenity by the hand and led her down the stairs. Both of them noticed that Max and Liz weren’t following them. “Stay here” he told Selenity. He ran back up to the bedroom. “Aren’t you guys coming?”

“Yeah. I just gotta touch up my makeup. I girl can never be too careful with makeup!”

“Okay, we’ll wait” Endymion said. While Endymion was closing the door, Max spoke.

“Be careful! She takes forever!” he warned. “What about Selenity? Does she take long ‘touching up’ her makeup?”

“Actually, she doesn’t wear that much. A little of that stuff that makes their skin tone look even, one coat of sheer caramel colored lip color, a light coat of great tasting lip gloss, a little blush, one coat of black mascara, brown eyeliner and then she finishes off with one spray of jasmin scented perfume. She never overdoes it, and if she has to touch up, all she does is lightly sweep another coat of mascara, puts a little more lip color and gloss on and she’s finished.

“Wow Endymion. You know me like a book” Selenity said, smiling. “Would you like to share some of my great tasting lip gloss?” she asked, lightly licking her lips.

“I’d be delighted” he said, nearing his lips towards hers. Liz opened the door right when their lips met.

“You guys are so sweet that you give me cavities” Max said, but Selenity and Endymion ignored him. “Come on Liz, let’s leave them alone and go to the living room” Max said, smiling. “Delicious, as always” Endymion said.

“I’ll be right back. I gotta go touch up my makeup” Selenity said.

“I’ll come with you” Endymion said. They went back into the bedroom. Selenity sat at the vanity, taking out her makeup. She took out her lip color and lip gloss. She put on her lip color first. Then, as she was putting on her lip gloss, she saw Endymion stare at her in the mirror. She turned around to face Endymion. He was kind of surprised and was about to ask her what was wrong or if she was okay but before he could say anything, Selenity put a little of her lip gloss on his lips. He didn’t say anything. Then, she gently kissed his lips, teasing him a little. She pulled away before Endymion could kiss her back. She finished putting on her lip gloss and walked out of the room, blowing him a kiss. After Selenity left, he licked his lips and said, “Selenity, you’re a feisty little one, aren’t you?” and headed for the living room.

“Where’s Endymion?” Liz asked Selenity.

“First, where’s Max?” Selenity asked.

“Oh. He went looking for the bathroom. He’ll be gone forever” she said, giggling. Selenity giggled too.

“Oh. What was your question again?” Selenity asked.

“Oh. I asked where Endymion is” she said.

“Oh that! Well, he’s ‘touching up his makeup’” Selenity said, giggling.

“Uh...what do you mean by that?” Liz asked.

“Well...” Selenity started. A few minutes later, the two girls were laughing at the top of their lungs.

“Oh I see” Liz said, giggling.

“Yep. You should try it sometime. It works like a charm!” Selenity said.

“Wow. You really know how to keep a guy interested” Liz said. “And thanks for those tips about my makeup. Those’ll really save A LOT of time! I can’t believe it. A 16 year old that’s about to get married knows more than a 19 year old that’s been with the same guy for more than 2 years!” Liz said.

“Oh, it’s nothing. That’s not even the half of it” Selenity said.

“So, how’s your girl talk coming along?” Endymion said, kissing Selenity on the cheek. A tired Max followed after him, falling into Liz’s lap.

“Aww, poor baby” Liz said to Max, stroking his hair. “Why are you so tired?” she asked.

“Well, I went up the stairs and tried to open what I thought was the bathroom door and it turned out to be a bedroom, then I went all the way downstairs and thought the bathroom was there but it was the basement, then I went all the way upstairs and there was no bathroom there, so I went to Selenity’s and Endymion’s room thinking the door would be open, but it was locked until I found Endymion. Guess where the bathroom was this whole time? Right there!” he said, pointing underneath the staircase. Liz started to giggle. “What? What’s so funny?” he asked.

“I knew that bathroom was there the whole time” Liz said, giggling. Max started to turn as red as a tomato.

“That’s okay. It took me a while to find the bathroom too” Endymion said, trying not to laugh at his friend.

“Did you even bother to ask if I knew where the bathroom was?” Liz asked.

“Well, no...I didn’t think you’d know” he said.

“I could’ve saved you all that looking around and you wouldn’t be as tired as you are now” Liz stated. Max started to turn even redder.

“Okay. Let’s drop the subject now. We don’t need to keep on talking about this” he said, starting to get a little agitated.

“Okay, okay, sorry. I won’t do that again” Liz said, smiling. “Now, let’s discuss this engagement party.

“Okay. So we’re gonna have the engagement party here at the house?” Max asked. “And we’ll get together next week to plan the food and stuff, right?”

“Right” Selenity answered.

“And we’re also gonna plan the decorations next week too, right?”

“Right” Endymion answered.

“Okay then. We must be going now. Remember. The engagement party is set for June 15th. Right now, we’re in the last week of May, so we’ll have plenty of time” Max said. “Okay, so... see you next week. And I’ll call first next time. Thanks for having us over!” Max said.

“I know this party will be a great one” Liz said.

“Me too” Selenity said.

“Well, see you later!” Max called out. “ Come on Liz, let’s go.”

“Okay bye!” Liz said. After Liz and Max left, Selenity and Endymion went to the transportation chamber and went to their room. Selenity threw herself on the bed. Endymion went to the bathroom to wash his face.

“What a very busy day” Selenity said.

“Yep. It was very busy” Endymion said, wiping his face off with a fresh towel.

“Maybe we’ll do something later?” she asked.

“Yeah, sure....after I take a nap” Endymion said.

“Yeah, you’re right. I think I’ll take a nap too” Selenity said. Then, someone knocked on the front door.
